A HUGE shout out and round of applause to the plus 50 year olds on this forum!! You have no idea how much you inspire me.

It's easier to live in a fashion and fashion blogging world when you are in your 20's and 30's. But remembering that fashion is not style is what sets us all apart. NO ONE can take away your sense of style and confidence after a certain age. It just keeps on getting better - Client Karen at age 72 (which she turns today), and my Papa buying burgundy specs and levis jeans at age 80. Come on! It's too fabulous for words.

Often I see our over 50 year olds here wearing the latest trends before the younger folk. And this brings me to tears I love it so much. I see you putting outfit combinations together that blow me away. I see your unaffected attitude and grace shine through in your styles. I read your wise words and am grateful for your emotional intelligence, wit and attitude. THANK YOU for teaching me each day to be more like you. You impress me no end and absolutely rock my style world.

May 2013 be your most stylish year ever.

Ok, first and foremost, I am friggin' shocked at the actual ages of some of you. Seriously, I must obtain the secret!

Secondly, a HUGE round of applause to our fifty somethings, and here is to another 50 years of fabulosity! Thank you for all of the inspiration.

I'm happy that this 52-year-old has a place to learn, experiment, grow and be comfortable with an ongoing love of fashion. It feels good to be included and even celebrated. Everyone is celebrated at YLF, and that's a big part of the magic here.

Thank you, Angie, for your tribute. As someone who is now very close to 70, I just love seeing all the stylish ladies over 50 who rock the YLF community. Remember this song: "I am woman, hear me roar..." No, you're probably too young; but it was a powerful anthem for many of us who needed encouragement to break the molds wherein we were raised. Beautifully written, Angie - and the sentiment is so, so needed in this world. I had my time of being 20, 25, 30 and 35. Now I'm late 40s, and since life ain't over til it's over, I'm going to dress and act accordingly. And I admire everyone here with the same spunk, whatever their age!

Aw, Angie - you're so sweet

Being over 50 and feeling invisible is exactly the reason I found YLF in the first place. And I'm thrilled that, thanks to YLF, I may be even further over 50, but no longer feel invisible - I feel empowered.

Angie and YLF have shown me that I'm free to try out new styles that catch my eye, I'm also free to ignore any style that doesn't appeal to me, I'm encouraged to put my own personal interpretation into the mix as well. I'm freed up to make mistakes and learn from them. I'm free to have fun with this whole process

An amazingly well-worded tribute to a tribe of very amazing ladies. Thank you for leading us 'young 'uns' down this fabulous, fashionable path, Angie and all you others!

May I add that it's also especially inspiring to a late bloomer like myself (still floundering too often in my mid-30s) to know I have time still to get sorted out and kitted out? You show me, each and every day, on the blog and on the forum, that there is no such thing as too late to have fun with fashion --- beautifully and gracefully!
