Last month we cruised down the Snake, Columbia, and Willamette Rivers, following the trail of Lewis & Clark as they found their way to the Pacific.
In The Dalles, Oregon, I ran into an old friend hadn't seen for ages, so I posed with him. I do wish I'd put my ankle on my knee as well. I'd just climbed the stairs to the second floor of the Neon Sign Museum. I stopped and waited for Mr. M to catch up with me.
Note how Ron is wearing shiny bright summer colors, while I'm wearing more subdued, flat surfaced autumn selections. My plaid sun shirt and colored jeans are from LL Bean.
A few years ago I never considered LL Bean as a clothing source. That has changed. I wore two sun shirts every day. 110° in Spokane where we started, down maybe 2 degrees a day. Sleeveless or short sleeved top under it. Jeans. We had a great oversized cabin on the top deck and a veranda to watch the shoreline go by. Lots of walking on our stops. I mostly wore my Orthofeet sneakers--lots of walking on rough walkways and unpaved paths.
The LL Bean jeans I've tried fit me pretty well, lighter weight fabric than the Joe's and Paige that are still my favorites.
