Just read this thread and wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you and your family. My dog had cancer at 15 years of age (Bijou's big sister named Dana), we were able to put her on steroids for about 3 months after the diagnosis and spoil her. She was pretty good during this treatment and then suddenly the cancer took over. We knew when it was time to let her go, as we could see it in her eyes that she was in pain and she wanted to stay in bed all day, at that point we knew we had to say goodbye.
It was bittersweet, to see her bravely running around enjoying her walks and cuddles knowing this was hanging over her. At least we had those few precious months, I hope you get the same with Farley.
