Very sorry for your loss. So lovely for you to share a photo and I too see the resemblance.

So sorry to hear this news. Take good care of yourself.

He looks rock-solid dependable and warm. I can't begin to imagine that warmth and solidity leaving your life. Parents are... well, the basis of our very understanding of life and existence and self, aren't they? Their passing affects absolutely every aspect of our very BEING. I am so very sorry for your loss, Jean. May you find peace and equanimity in memories of the good times.

Jean, I am so sorry about your dad. My sympathies to you and your family.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss and am glad you reached out so that we could all surround you with love and virtual hugs!

Thank you all who have replied to my post, I am so honored that you would take the time to offer your condolences,
I am having a very hard time right now, am very sorry that I have not been involved in the forum.
Other things have taken up much time and it is hard to jump in after being away for so long. This is a community I trust and one that is in my heart forever, like my Dad.
The grief process is so very difficult, there is no prediction as to how long it will last, I feel as if I am on a roller coaster.
Many days, I get very little done.

This is a drawing I did from the picture of my Dad.

That is a beautiful drawing you did of your father. What a lovely way to honor him. I am so sorry for your loss.

Big hugs to you, hang in there. Love the drawing, you have captured something beautiful.

Jean, I'm so sorry for your loss. In looking at his picture, I saw so much of you in him. Or probably the other way around. There's so much of him in you. You are a walking reminder to the world of your dad - whether we realize it or not. I hope the memories of the laughter you shared give you comfort in this time. Hugs.
