My current orthotic shoe crush

That 'limited edition" is bugging me.

Orthotic shoes are often so frumpy yet I do end up wearing them a good bit of the time for comfort reasons.

If I get any Christmas money I think they'll be going towards these.

What do you think?
And do you think the patent would last? That is my main concern (and that I am not sure if you can get the heels mended )

Anne I think this is a gorgeous shoe, particularly in the red. Why not email Ziera and ask those questions. They are a good brand and I have only ever heard good things about them You know they might go on sale after Christmas??

OK, I found them. I clicked on "Southern Hemisphere" on the Ziera website and then was able to find it. Whew!

I do think that the red shoe is smart looking. I'd go for it!

I don't know much about patent leather. I suspect it would scuff if you wear them a lot. But maybe you'd just have to polish them frequently. I suppose you could call a cobbler and ask about the maintenance of patent leather. A cobbler might have a product that you can use to remove scuffs.

Hi Anne, I have a few pairs of Ziera shoes, and boots which I can slip my orthotic insoles in, the shoes are comfy enough without now.
I have never had an issue super comfortable and the designs are becoming more modern and wearable.
I often get asked what brand they are
They are having a sale after Christmas......not sure what will be in it though.
I have a great relationship with my nearest Ziera shop and they will hunt for anything I am after so find your nearest.
They are a little pricey but if you have fussy feet worth I I think

Gigi, yes it is the scuffing I'd be worried about.

Debra I have been wearing Ziera (or their predessors, Kumfs) for over a decade and I find them extremely comfortable, and I agree, worth it Good news about the sale !

I too like Ziera and the red is cute. There is patent cleaner. And the chux magic erasers remove scuff marks you would see on patent. I have had no probs with Ziera patent... I recently discovered bared shoes in Melbourne for fussy feet... similar price to ziera but more funky, my first pairs are getting work outs now and seem quite ok... can't wait to see your styling the red shoes!!

jenandend - Patent cleaner - I'll have to look into that!! I hadn't heard of them. Chux magic erasers I did know about but not for the shoe context. I had a good look at the bared shoe website - would need to know if they stock over here in the west as I don't buy shoes online - my feet are so fussy that, for instance, only some zieras are comfortable, not others. In fact I think I might see if I can try on this pair tomorrow before I set my heart on it, to find out if my feet like it!

Well I bought them, They are gorgeous. Only one left in the whole country (and maybe New Zealand as well) in my size and I can return it within 40 days. So if I keep in and I don't get any christmas money or engage in budgetary reorganisation I may not be buying clothes for 6 months!
