Did anyone else notice Zapotee's gorgeous Kate Spade handbag sitting innocently on her bed for her travel capsule?

Side Note: If I recall, Zap is a bit shy about WIW's (correct me if I'm wrong) but this polyvore-ish 'outfits on the bed' idea is a very good substitute. We love seeing your outfits people, whether you are in them or not (I'm talking to you too, Velvetychocolate)!

All of the sudden, this bag is all I can think about! I don't remember seeing it before, maybe just a post about the practicality of a white bag? Zap, do tell us your story! Funny, but I recently thrifted a very similar pair of black heels to yours (only 3 inches for me and even then they will be sitting only shoes).

Anyhoo. I'm not really sure how I'd obtain a KS like this, short of funding my splurge *waving to Rae* (her term) by selling furniture, my bicycle and a child or two. I'm quite sure all of the clothes in my closet would not equal the value of this bag, but it got me to thinking about the Parable of the Pearl of Great Price. In the story, the merchant sold everything he had to be able to buy it.

The good news is that there is something so exciting to me that I would be willing to spend some serious dough on it. Which signals to me that this is a turning point of sorts about my style. I have seriously been pretty ambivalent about a lot of items I've seen during the past year. It's hard to spend money on things that don't make your heart go pitter pat, so I've been thrifting steadily away and I have plenty of "good enoughs" and even a few "loves" in my wardrobe to where I can slow down and shop more strategically for something really special.

I've said time and time again when other people have posted similar epiphanies, "That's fine IF you know what you really want/like and are sure that you will love it forever." Maybe it's like finding a husband, when you meet him, you just *know*. I feel like I have spent the last year *gathering* clothes and now I want to *hunt* something, lol! I couldn't hunt before because I didn't know what my prey looked like. So I just ate nuts and berries instead. (Except my moto. That was a kill, and also style defining.)

You can tell I've had inklings of desire for a B/W bag because of my thrifted and dyed bag (photo #3 in this thread)

But it's just not the same as the KS!

The beautiful domed shape! The double handles and cross-body strap are so current. The *buttermilk* color with the black is so subdued and sophisticated. The name plate and zipper glint in the light. I've got it BAD! And wouldn't it make all of my clothes look so much more expensive? I could see carrying this bag almost year-round in my climate. I just went though my closet and it would go with everything!

Zap, is this the same bag as yours? Would it ruin it for you if I (eventually) got the same one? I mean you are so much younger and hip-er than I am. Maybe I should just look for something similar but more in my price range. Arghhhhh! I'm going to take a cold shower!
