To make myself accountable; I am planning to go on a bit of a diet for shopping in the next little bit. There's tons of nice stuff in my closet that never gets worn because there is so much other nice stuff! Haha, what a great problem to have, right? Also, I have come to realize that summer is definitely not my major season, so I don't want to invest too heavily into it.

I am hoping to be able to stick to my "diet" for about 200 days, with a planned "buffet" around day 100 (when I am promoted from junior slave scut monkey) when my friends and I are planning to go outlet mall shopping.

Since it is a diet, I am going to give myself some wiggle room when it comes to returns and store credits currently accrued. In addition, I plan to budget $150 a month to spend on whatever the hecks I want - including chocolate. The rest of the budget I usually spend on clothes is going into savings! My employer is going to match my retirement contributions before September 1 dollar for dollar, so I'm jumping on that ASAP! I'll be happy when I'm like 75 and going on vacation, I guess - haha.

I also hope to be able to keep a running tally of things that I plan to buy this fall - there are definitely a few holes in my fall/winter wardrobe I'd like to patch up before the season rolls around again.

I am not sure if I should not come to YLF for these 200 days or not... while I think it is a source of support, seeing all this nice stuff makes me kinda get the itching to shop!

Any SYC/SYB have thoughts on the YLF influence? Advice for me?
