So, it's probably time to share my butt vest adventure. A story of if you don't succeed, try try try again, and the fabness of fabbers.

Back in... what was it... December?? Macy's had them on sale for a great price, but that price wasn't available to Canadians. Very interesting marketing - "product not available" if I live here, but no problem if I live in the US. Debbie very kindly offered to get me a pair and send them to me.

Problem #1: They somehow messed up the order, and they never got sent. Debbie had a pair coming to herself as well, so was on this one. So time passes, and they eventually arrive. And Debbie sends them to me.
Problem #2: they don't arrive. Debbie puts in a claim, and kindly orders another pair.
Problem #3: They don't arrive either! Turns out there was a mistake in the address, so they were in the abyss that is the postal service, but that gets solved and they are on their way. But are they? According to Debbie's tracking, they are "out for delivery". Two weeks pass, and they are still not delivered. So I have to give Debbie the sad news, that another claim is needed, and we're back to square one. But this time they are in short demand everywhere. They have also been on sale at Nordies, and sold out in my size :(.

While this was going on, the three month voyage of the Danier top to Deborah was taking place, so I was really thinking I was jinxed! Luckily that all worked out.

After all this, I was feeling quite disappointed, and still felt I wanted the dang things. So that's a good thing, right?

Off I go to eBay. And managed to get a pair for about the same price as the Nordies sale. It really didn't look like I'd do any better, so I was fine with that.

And they arrived! And I love them! After all that, THANK GOODNESS!

1. What I wore today... a Sunday, doing errands, hanging out at home, and taking DD1 to gymnastics. Couldn't have been more comfortable, and felt a few notches up from my normal Sunday attire.

2-6 And some other spring styling ideas. Most of my heavier tunicy type sweaters are put away, but this is what I came up with for ways to wear them now. Quickly! I think they are better with slight heels (5 compared to 6). But we'll keep playing. I can already see how they'll let me wear things I'd love to wear with leggings alone, but are a bit self conscious in. They really are tunic extenders.

Thank you SO much Debbie for your ongoing patience with all this. I appreciate it, and I'm sorry the end result was such a PITA for you.

So... what do you think? Can I safely wear them in public?
