Apologies for yesterday's post and run, life happens all the time, but you made my day today, for sure-and wow, never got 2xK2K ratings from Angie in one post, before:-)).
Krish: You have good eyes, thank you! I do have apple tendencies, not a shapely back and getting older... So the "longer lightweight, straight shirt layered under a cropped crisp jacket" is practically the only way I felt conscious enough making the dreaded pants look work for the office.
CocoC: I didn't either. It all started with a well known look of Deb's from Oz, in fact I bought the peep toe ankle booties totally inspired by her looks! Only, they don't really work for me with black pants (dunno why?she's also blonde!) so have been forced to try something else, you get the idea:-)
Sharon, Elizabeth, dakotacheryl, MG, Staysfit, Angie jackiec, kkards, unpfrumped and all: Thanks for your encouraging words.
I thought I'll let you all know it was a LOT of work building up the dreaded "pants for work" capsule- but it really did worth, as since then, some of the looks grew up to FFBOs!
Olivegreen: You are so right! The "round open necklines on coloured jackets are a bit church lady, rather than business" and thanx for your head ups!:-) I also am more powerful in a crisp bl&w outfit, but I feel I can still do these outfits on certain days as my place is pretty casual and in a somehow creative field.
Angie, always trying &Celia: Will do a post on my casual pants looks today-sty tuned! I always get lost in reading, contemplating (and commenting) on other's fab threads on the Forum:-), so this is why I am so scarce on posting my owns... But you can say I1m a good student isn't it:-).
Gaylene (DEB and others) you really put your finger on my sensible point, the shoes. Previously I only payed attention on updating my shoes with the same style, over and over again. It's only nowadays I am putting my efforts into finding some current looking replacements of the older ones. And yes, "shoes can transform a look" this is another great thing I've learnt from here.
Firecracker: Thanx for the hair compliment. There are days when I'm pleased with my hair, too, but it still needs a continuous effort to keep it out from the frump (nr. 21 is wet hair, I think:-)). I've cut off the angled side bob just the other day, colored it a bit darker(+ highlights again) and cut me some thicker bangs so my new style is now somewhat a longer version of Angie's target style (I think)-which is fab! We'll see how it does IRL, but am not prepared yet to go shorter.
Deborah: Think white is as powerful as black, pls try! And needless to say but you were my true inspiration here with those fab peep-toe bootie-sandals and pants looks:-)
CocoLion: As you, I also find" bl&w so incredibly chic" AND POWERFUL (navy and white included) -but it is very hard to achieve THE LOOK. And yes, it was my conscious plan for this spring, hope to do it better and better.
