We had a lovely short day in Brooklyn (Greenpoint) yesterday. It was a gorgeous late summer day and the young people were dressed for it, lots of cropped black tops with yoga pants or high waisted jeans. Lots and lots of sneakers, especially Cons (see subway picture below). I did see one beautiful young woman wearing a pleated long gray flannel skirt as a short, strapless dress - the waistband across her clavicle, and the skirt/dress belted at the waist, with combat boots. So sorry I didn't get a picture of her!

Pictures below include a crazy pair of cow or goat (?) booties at Brother, a shoe designer from Africa. Also, DH at a vintage record store (his favorite shopping) and Anna, Jake, and their dog Millie.

I did manage to get one little sweater, basic but really useful, from a great little store called Alter. Today I'm swinging by Club Monaco in Greenwich to see about a winter coat before we head back home. Thought of you all yesterday while people watching!
