To be honest, I was never going to resist 30% off...
Most of what I ordered has come in, except the midi skirt. I don’t much like corduroy, except in a midi skirt! I used to have one I loved. It gives me 70’s vibes, but in the cool tall boots way. Not the polyester leisure suit way.
Anyway, on to the items I did get:
Sparkle Breton - adorable, nice thick fabric. Sheds a little tinsel, but nothing too bad. This felt dressy enough that I could bring the stripes from my casual style into work.
Winifred dress - this is not for someone who wants to camoflauge the tummy! I decided it worked on me only after I tried with hosiery. Now I feel that I when a gently curving womanly belly in it, rather than a pot belly. (I’ve been working on my core due to my back issues, so I guess a positive result is that I can wear this.) lovely thick jersey jacquard fabric, AND it’s also lined. It feels almost like a sweater dress but with more inherent shape to it. This won’t help all the folks looking for a midi dress, but for me, it’s a win.
Velvet skirt - no pic of me in this yet, but it’s a good fit and length. The length on the model is accurate for how the R fits me-I am 5’4, but with relatively long legs. I will also only ever wear it with hosiery, probably. I will post a photo later if I can. I expect this to be a winter staple.
ETA - added a pic of the velvet skirt and stripe top, per request below. My apartment lighting is terrible so apologies.
