I hit the Gap store by 9:00 this morning for the Black Friday sale. Everything was 50% off until 10:00.

I'm down to two pairs of dress pants, one is nearly 6 years old, so I've been eyeing up their modern boot cut premium pants. I'm a rectangle so if pants fit in the waist they usually don't fit in the hips. These turned out to be a great cut for me (I know it's impossible to see the detail in navy pants in a photo).

So I bought two pair, in navy and black, a cascading cardigan in navy with grey trim, a lounging t-shirt, two pairs of tights (one in purple!) and two pairs of boxers for my husband. All total $130 or so. Oops, there goes December's budget in November. But I'm happy! I feel like I really have a good working wardrobe now!

The pants are a regular inseam so they work very nicely with 1 1/2-2" heels. So I think I'll hem one pair to flats and leave one for heels. I'm usually in flats but I do like the leg line created by bootcuts with a heel. This lets me wear my tall heeled boots with pants to stretch my shoe wardrobe also.
