I added 30 pieces this year- a handful are too new to really know if they are good picks. Here are the ones that stand out and why.

Black wide leg trousers by Max - so comfortable, flattering, modern and useful. They feel good on and are perfect for my work capsule.

Orchid merino sweatshirt - this is a new colour for me and I really like it. It’s just a good piece to wear to make me feel cheerful and comfy.

Deadly Ponies Bag - second hand purchase. Adore this bag so so much! I wear it 80 percent of the time. It’s just so me.

Cream linen blazer- another second hand piece. Just the easy casual summer and transitional blazer. The colour and shape work well for me.

1970s dress - only three wears but again this dress feels very much like me. It’s fun, it’s bold, it’s easy - I love it.

I had great success with gear this year too - nothing very exciting, but things that just work!

Looks like some wonderful winners in your mix now. Sweatshirt is such a pretty colour, its fun to inject new colours to enjoy and experiment with. Great 70s mod dress, looks like such fun to wear.

I love that your top five are all in different categories -- a bottom, a top, a dress, a topper, a bag. I know from your WIWs that all are sensational on you. Fantastic choices.

You have never looked better and your wardrobe has never worked as well for you as it has this year. You've done some excellent editing and purchasing in the past 3 years or so and it has all come together.

Thanks Dee- it is fun to try a new colour. Lilacs and purples are a colours I haven’t worn since my teenage years. As long as they aren’t dusty they seem to be flattering on me and have been available in modern cuts too.

Thanks Suz - what a lovely comment. I went through my finds and thought what I would really miss if I misplaced the piece. I have new pieces with more wear - some jeans, some shoes, and gear - but they haven’t excited me as much.

bags, like shoes, can be deceiving, they can look good and feel good in the store, but in every day use they can be just not quite right. So double yay for finding a new bag that becomes a workhorse!

Sal, these are such great thoughtful additions to your wardrobe. I hear you about the bag! My favorite one gets used about 80% of the time now too. But I am reluctant to let go of old favorites.

These summaries are so interesting and helpful to me! I love your approach of looking at your Finds and thinking about what you would really miss if it disappeared. I also find Suz's comment insightful, in that your favorites are from multiple categories in your closet. I feel like I should be printing these things out as affirmations and putting them on my closet door.

Roberta - I do track wears so I know a few pieces that have had even more wear than some of these - but these pieces have brought the most joy or filled a wardrobe hole.

Thanks Janet - after seeing Bijou, Irina and your own comments about the Bao Bao it’s quite tempting to copy! A bag you love helps outfit making. I agree though - on occasions it is good to have other options.

list. The dress is an absolute winner. You look fabulous in the pics you share - and, it’s you wearing the dress and not the other way around.

It's so lovely to see you embracing lighter colours and neutrals that complement your colouring. If I were to only have one handbag in addition to my pink Bao Bao (heaven forbid!) I think it would be a cognac leather bag as it works with everything and for any season.

Thanks Carla - you should find some as it is a trending style. For me the shape was easy enough to find but I wanted fabric with enough weight but also that draped.

Thanks Bijou! I am feeling more drawn to lighter colours but I still wear black especially for work. But I think the lighter warmer colours are more flattering on me.

That dress... Please wear it all the time it's gorgeous and special. As in, it's on trend but not to the point where I see it EVERYWHERE. That is often a hard balance to achieve when sourcing on trend clothing.
