Haha, as usual you're on the money, Angie. Over the past three months I've purchased three super skinny leather belts -- one black, one tan, and one blond -- and I've been giving them a whirl. I discovered that sometimes they look good right smack dab on my waist -- especially if I belt over an untucked, tailored shirt and pencil skirt. The stiffer woven material of the shirt flares out over my hips, giving the impression that I have both a smaller waist and fuller hips than I actually do. The skinny belts also look pretty good slung low on my hips with a fitted jersey knit top and A-line skirt, or even through the belt loops of jeans that fit across my hips, and then I semi tuck my top so at least the front or side part of the belt is visible. I even have one wider, stretchy black belt that works on my natural waist, as long as I wear it over a dress the same colour.
And I used to be totally convinced that belts don't work on my bod, especially on my natural waist, before YLF. Thanks Angie!
