My Autumn Winter 2013/ 2014 capsule

I'm not on pinterest right now but have been saving some of my favourite outfits from the ongoing A/W shows and have been staggered to find I am saving a capsule.

I guess I just need the lottery win now, oh, and a dose of reality as I need to turn my inspiration into a wardrobe suitable for my casual/ smart casual lifestyle. Ha.

But enough about me, are your pins of a theme, are they coherent and do they fit with your current style?

I've JUST (like yesterday) started a "my style" pin board. So far I haven't focused on any particular clothes or designers. I'm really just going for a "feel" right now. Then I think I will be able to start looking for items that are for my real life. Then I'll probably just naturally see myself leaning toward particular designers.

I see a definite style emerging from your pics! I can see these easy-flow lines in a smart-casual lifestyle.

For what it's worth, I keep my style board almost exclusively to what I would actually wear. So my pins aren't so much inspiration as they are outfits I would love to copy.

My pins are an indication of the direction that I want my style to move in, but definitely things that I would actually wear.

If money was no object, and I had the right body, Jil Sander would rank in my top three for things I would wear. That outfit makes me absolutely weak! Great pins!

Oh I would absolutely wear these pieces but there would be lots of denim and sweaters too. I have a fascination with fabric pattern and colour and this is how I usually distill high fashion into the items I can afford to buy.

Today I have escorted Teah to a horse vaulting competition and was quite happy wearing my chambray mini(ish) dress, navy merino sweater, black opaques, tan booties and a black swing coat. I was in direct contrast to the ugg boot and fleece jumpers of the other parents.

Off to check your pins Angie, I think you may have enough to fill a boutique

Just beautiful! I keep wanting to look at the shows but I get very frustrated with my country-fied, driving-well-below-the-legal-speed-limit internet connection.

I have a pinterest board just for things that are part of my "imaginary lifestyle" -- that satisfies my wanterings!

Here is my board for Fall and Winter 2013. It's not just based on what I like for my own style, but a place where I remember seasonal show trends and new outfit proportions. I have clients who have very different style preferences to my own so I need to keep my finger on the pulse all the time:

Angie, I notice you are embracing the full long sleeve but I think I will need to show some forearm for to meet my figure flattery comfort level.

That NEW full long sleeve is all over the runways (2 years in a row), and I wonder how and if it will filter down to mainstream at all. I will need to find a very dainty cropped version for my dainty self so as not to be swallowed up whole - preferably with a shorter sleeve. I can see you pull off the look with panache, Jules.

As I said on my FB YLF page, I was disappointed with Prada :(. Not inspiring at all. Wenchette is the perfect description.

London: House of Holland, Preen, Emilia Wickstead, Paul Smith, ALC, Joseph.

Milan: Fendi, Antonio Marras, Dsquared, Etro, Jil Sander.

We still have Milan to finish and then it's on to Paris

Like Angie, I might be swallowed in those sleeves too, but they look good on the models, doesn't everything? I love the skirt in 2, the shoes in 3 & 4 & the coat in 6.

Love your photos, my favourite is the Rodriguez.

I find if I just pin what I love, without censoring myself, I get a really good picture of my "loves". So when it comes to buying clothes I'm less likely to settle. Having said that I don't tend to buy clothes for an imaginary lifestyle so I guess that's why pinning everything works for me.

I am doing what Caro says - pinning my loves without censoring. I will consider my actual lifestyle later. And, er, my budget.

My pins are all over the place. If I like something, anything about a pic I may pin it and most of it are things I would never wear or be able to pull off.
