My attempt at a copycat

I picked up the fall issue of People StyleWatch and swooned over this very basic look. It's not perfect but close enough, I think.
Pic 3 is a new color block sweater with an asymmetric hem. I lurve this so don't even try to talk me out of it. : )
Pic 4 is a recent summer WIW
Pic 5 is an attempt at "saving" a too short mohair sweater.

Oops, I had to dash off to pick up the kids--I didn't even finish my post! Thanks for looking and critiquing and helping me get into a fall fashion groove!

Perfect copycatting job, methinks!-) and beautiful scarf KG!
That is a very fun sweater (I love the colours too) and it looks great with the jeans and boots.

You do Summer and Fall equally well. I love how the sparkly top and your silver sandals add textural interest in pic 3 and very clever adding that top under the mohair sweater.

I love your new asymmetric sweater. Also, outfit #2 looks great (Mila knock-off). Now you also need a cross body bag.

The asymmetric sweater would also look cute with leggings and flats.

Great copycat look! Your style seems very similar to Ms. Kunis's style as shown there Is that brown floral scarf from Target? If so I have the same one! LOVE love your new asymmetrical+colorblocked sweater in #3! The summer look in #4 makes me pine for the perfect sequined tank top I have yet to find, it looks super with the faded denim vest. I like your sweater saving, the lower layer is a really pretty color and the overall soft colors look especially fab with those taupe-y boots.

Your copy is better than the original, hands down!! I love the other outfits too, especially the asymmetrical sweater! Love the daytime sparkle and silver thongs paired with the light denim vest in 3, and the last look is very Sundance chic. Can you possibly share where you got the asymmetrical sweater :)?

Thanks, Everyone! I’m glad the copy cat outfit has approval. I was trying to shop the closet although the jeans are the new Paige skinnies from TJMaxx.
@Inge: Thank you. The sequin top is all YLF. I would never have purchased that before and would never have mixed it into a daytime, casual ensemble. That would have been “cruise wear” in my eyes--lol!
@Denise: Thank you. Great idea--I have some ponte pants that I think will work just like leggings. I’ll have to keep my eye out for a dark colored cross body. I think my turquoise one might be a bit too bright and summery.
@Una: Thanks! Isn’t that funny--I rarely read fashion mags but DD talked me into this one. I’m looking forward to seeing your version!
@Aida: Thank you! That is the Target scarf that you and MaryK inspired me to buy! I love the muted colors and print : ) The sequin top is a fun wardrobe addition. I’m surprised how versatile it is. It seems like a great piece for someone on the casual side because it adds so much oopmh.
@Kim: Thank you. Check out TJ Maxx and you can have the same sweater : ) It came in grey/charcoal/black too. It was Cable and Gauge : )

@Jonesy: Thank you! Sundance chic--I love it. I haven't seen one of those catties in a long time! Loved their stuff but a bit pricey. Glad to have your approval on the copycat : )

ETA: The sweater is from TJMaxx--see note to Kim : ) I got a medium and it fits perfectly.

You look so chic in that black top and black boots in #1 ~ fab copycatting there! Like the Paiges too (recognize the tag from afar ). I really like the mohair sweater in the last one ~ the layer underneath gives the sweater a banded appearance ~ am I explaining that right? ~ so it doesn't look too short at all. Great fall looks here!

Kelly, what fun to see you posting! I love your copycat. In fact, I will copy it soon (when it gets colder), except that I passed on that scarf when I was trying to break myself of my scarf habit. Darn. That lasted about a week. I LOVE your asymmetrical sweater - it is SO fab. And your daytime sequins are terrific. Would you mind telling me what those fab taupe boots are in the last pic? I'm looking for some lighter colored boots this fall.

Great save on the mohair sweater - not used to muted colors on you, but the pop of bright color peeking out keeps it "you."
