Elle, I've noticed that a lot with Clarks too. I may actually give up on the brand now as they rarely suit my feet.

Zoiechic and Gigi...high five

Thanks Lucy and Summer!

You know I'm disappointed about the snake ones the most as they came so close to being right. I keep wondering if they could be stretched around the toe area...hmm...I dunno. Buuut..perhaps I just need to call it a day.

Oh my goodness. Sounds Waaay to familiar. I was on vacation and saw a pair of Angie finds that I loved in navy. I have hard-to-fit feet so I ordered the wide shoes in 3 sizes. I had them sent to my neighbor's house.

I got home, tried them on. They rub...oh how they rub the back of my ankle. Back to Nordstroms. I am saving money too! So where AM I going to find wide navy shoes with some style! sigh

Oh, Diane - such lovely pretty shoes! And so perfect (in style) for you!! But I have been there and done that more times than I can count, and I must say it is better to be comfortable than miserable. Onwards!

I saw your photos before I noted the post was yours and thought, "Diane would love those". LOL to realize it was your post, but sorry that none worked. Thanks for the detailed description of what was challenging. I am a member of the walk right out of an otherwise great pair of shoes club, too. I feel your pain.

He he, like your savings plan. Sometimes it's the thrill of opening those boxes, even if they don't work. I find shoe shopping on line haphazard for me, I have narrow feet (or low volume as Angie says). I have some luck with DSW.

Excellent. Have had the same problem of wanting to try on some things and no B&M available. Sometimes it's a way to see if a brand "gets me" and stay interested or move on.

Thanks for the added wisdom and commiserations ladies.

Eliza..too funny I seem to have a bit of a signature syle? hehe.

Stop Press.... I ordered these in both grey and blush pink to try out...lookit the heels! Aren't they gorg?!

So disappointing those silver shoes are amazing!

You are a wise woman to not try to make something work that will not be comfortable in the long run.

Those mint shoes are SO pretty. I find myself strongly attracted to pastels at this time of year--ironically, more now than in actual spring, which won't arrive for at least a couple months...

I thought of you yesterday, Diane, because I received a box of things from Free People, in which only a couple of items fit. It was a bit of a relief, because I had spent more than I wanted to. So I get the fun of shopping and the fun of trying on new things but don't have to spend so much money.

I see the new one's you've ordered -- let us know how they work out!

I try on at least 10-12 pair for every one I purchase. If the feet aren't happy, but day will seem long (and painful)!
