I'm fairly certain that I'm going to fail at this 12x12, but that's ok. I've really learned a ton this month and I'm proud of my progress. 12x12 will continue to be my goal, but I'm not going to beat up on myself if I come in over goal.

So, the nuts and bolts.

-black dress in number one. In the midst of my slim ankle pants search I had ordered a pair online. For free shipping I needed to pad the box with another item. I have this same dress in purple and one size smaller and it has been a workhorse for me. I decided to try the black. My purple dress is pilling and needed to be sent to pasture, so this is a one in one out replacement. That means it doesn't count, right ?

-I'm not sure if I'm counting jewelry and basics, but I got the watch you can see in pic 2. My old every day watch quit keeping time and I found this knock off of a designer watch I've been drooling over.

-skinny ankle trousers. These definitely count! They're cuffed one time here because I like a bit of ankle with my oxfords.

I ordered and returned a cream top with a tie at the neckline and countless pairs of pants.

Last night I ordered an inexpensive pair of black booties. I was trying to stick to my guns because of my indiscretions listed above, but footwear is such a struggle for me. I like a very low heel that isn't chunky. These are very rare! I finally found it in a sandal and they have become my go to sandals for the summer. I need the same in a bootie. If these fit well they'll be my go to shoe for dresses and skirts this fall/winter.

June is the first month I tracked my purchases and I bought twelve items for $590.

For August I've bought 3 items totaling $75, with the booties tbd.

I'm throwing in a bonus shot of my current wardrobe because the colors and textures make me happy.

Oh, and please excuse the lettuce eating photo bomber in the background of pic two...and the piles on clothes on the floor. My 14yo is consigning alot of my old clothes and she's really got a mess going!
