Barring any unforseen shopping sprees, I am finished shopping for the year and *almost* stayed with my 12 item goal for the year. I couldn't narrow down between 3 things I recently found on sale at Nordies, so decided that I could live with myself if I cheated just a smidge. I finally got around to photographing the last of my purchases. They aren't the best pics, but oh well.
So, without further adieu, here are my 13 items in order of when they were purchased.
#1 black sweater dress. I love this dress and can't wait to pull it out again this winter
#2 green blazer.. this has been a workhorse this year. LOVE it.
#3 yellow sandals.... could be a half inch lower, but they have been a fun colorful addition to my summer shoe wardrobe
#4 green cons. I finally got around to wearing them today. I bought them for the transitional times when sandals are too cold and boots are too warm.
#5 sleeveless summery blouse. I like this better under a jacket (as in pic 2), but it has been a nice lightweight summer blouse.
#6.. hi/low hemline dress. This got a good amount of wear this summer and will continue to work into fall with boots and a jacket.
#7 I have mixed feelings about this dress. It served the purpose for a lightweight hot-weather dress, and I always got compliments in it, but for some reason didn't always feel super fab in it. I need to add boots and denim jacket for fall.
#8 black sandals. Love em!
#9 basic, boring purple cardigan. Last winter and spring there were several days that I was craving the coziness of a cardigan for kicking around the house. I've worn it a few times, and should get more wear through fall.
#10 orange cardigan. love this one.
(#11-13... these 3 pictures make me cringe) I got these three recently on sale at Nordies. Another big hole in my wardrobe last year was cozy casual knit tops and pull over sweaters to serve as loungewear. This is hard as knits aren't as flattering on me as wovens, but keep you warmer.
#11 I really like this striped banded top. I'll style it with dark jeans, not these white ones, and I see that the bands need to be smoothed down.
#12 This purple knot front lightweight sweater will be great for casual days at home.
#13 The cowl neck I was on the fence about, deciding to keep it as pullover sweaters are really hard for me to find, and this one was less than $25. I wish it were a tad longer... but it should be great in a simple outfit of jeans and boots on a cold and rainy day.
Thanks for looking, and feel free to offer your opinions. What are your favorites of my purchases for the year?
