I wanted to try my olive pants with these wonderful granny boots that in 8 years have probably only been worn half a dozen times. Then I added a silk tank and matching wool cardigan, both Eileen Fisher (and hear attack inducingly expensive, even at the much reduced outlet prices). I added this long strand of quartz beads in matching colors. I quite like the subdued, sort of ladylike vibe of this. IRL, the contrasting textures and the faceted beads give a depth that the photos don't capture.
I also got a hair cut this morning - 1st time in 14 months! I'm very happy with the results. My hair is actually a very dark chestnut-y brown. Those are not highlights making it look a golden brown, but natural sunlight combined with a few silver strands! I'm really looking forward to being that older lady with the flowing salt and pepper hair. Once I get some more salt, I think it will rather fabulous.
