Music Video -HEEELP! - YouLookFab Forum

So, my friend asked me weeks ago if I would be featured a music video he is creating. I will be one of several women in the video, but we will each have our own segment, as I understand it, so I will be alone on screen.

He needs me to wear two contrasting outfits that are mostly modern looking (the other women and punk rockers or have a Donna Reed vibe, and my friend wants contrast against them). I thought I had plenty of time to figure out what to wear, but he called an hour ago and wants to film TODAY! So I have two hours to figure out what to wear!

Here I have three outfits - tear them apart and tell me what to DO! I don't want to look unfab for my international debut!

For ideas about the vibe/music, Google JD McPherson and North Side Gal. Look for the music video, not live clips. Sorry I can't provide a link.

your legs go on forever in 3! and it is the most personality the others are more conservative! which one are you really? wear that one!

Wow, fun! Speaking as someone who worked in video (albeit briefly) you should ask if there are any color constraints. Black can film oddly; so can patterns. And be sure to wear A LOT of makeup! Video eats eyelashes and lips...

Ugh, I Never wear makeup (don't even know how to apply it) and was really planning on at least some black! I'm freaking out!

I love 1 and you will have SO MUCH FUN. Are they focusing on your entire body? I ask, because I didn't know if boots, shoes, etc. were important in the shot. In car and will check out the music video. What about a vivid unique scarf, cape or hat for the second shot?

Interesting ideas, Vicki! I will see what scarves, my cape, and jackets could do. I believe that my whole body, including feet, will be visible for both outfits.

Which ones did you choose?

Thanks for asking! I wore the striped sweater and leopard outfit from my other post (plus black boots) and then threw together my other outfit on the spur of the moment - red turtleneck, grey bootcuts, pearls, and my black pleather jacket.

I found that I was mistaken about the exact nature of the project. My friend was actually hired to put together this video for Nick Lowe, whose name might be familiar to those of you in the UK, especially. I shall post a link to the video once it is released!
