What I want to know is - since I got mine in high school, but now am 40+ ... Is that like a freebie midlife crisis? Am I good to go?

Had to share... Chatted with a young colleague who has multiple piercings and asked where I should go to have it done. She jokingly asked me what had inspired me and was I having a mid life crisis lol. It was all in fun and no offence meant or taken. Hmmmm!

Anyway she recommended a reputable tattooist / piercing place and I checked out pricing and think I will go ahead soon. I'm going with my gut feeling and think I will just get another earlobe piercing in my left ear (this is the shorter side of my hair cut and the side I sometimes tuck behind my ear:). I'm having a day procedure in 3 weeks (routine colonoscopy) so may do it after that as I think I recall they prefer no jewellery at all and I wouldn't be able to remove the new earring xx

Sounds like a plan. And good to hear that you are going to a real piercing studio, it's so much better than getting it done with one of those piercing guns.

Getting back to migraines, since I am a big sufferer. Botox does help, and I do use it. It involves 30 or so shots distributed all over your head, neck and shoulders. Unlike cosmetic Botox, it doesn't stop your facial expressions if it is done properly. Also, I'm not sure about Angie's friends, but it doesn't hurt that much.

Daith piercings are of the center cartilage of the ear. There is no definitive proof that they help migraines, but it doesn't harm anything either. Lots of things have been talked about as helping migraines, including face lifts! It doesn't mean we should run out and do it!

Back to the post topic, (sorry, responsible physician took over for a moment). Yes, I like the look. Many people have multiples, and with short hair, I think it's a good way to go.

I think it will be sassy and spirited and definitely offer opportunity for edginess. I have 4 right ear (3 lobe, 1 cartilage) and 2 left. It's fun to play with earring looks/asymmetry, and hope you love it!

RE migraines: Magnesium supplementation helped my migraines tremendously.

Now I had no idea one should avoid using a piercing gun. Says the one who took her daughter to Claire's at the mall...
