Muffin top woes and better pics

Thanks for all the suggestions. I am working on improving my photographing and have a long way to go. I have some better photos (I hope) of the jeans in question. I have another option for the casual holiday parties so if you think these are better returned please tell me. xo

Thanks, Glory! I can see here the the tops, particularly with the slightly mussed tuck, is skimming over, not clinging to, any softer areas, and the pants are festive and a edgy. You look fab!

I think a big cuff or a little arm candy would be great with this look.

I think they are fine...I don't see any muffin top. So if it's there I think you'd done well to disguise it. I like the shoes in #3 as well.

You are shaped like my sister and she can wear lower-rise pants and jeans pretty well. I, OTOH, get MAJOR muffin top because the waistband sits right on the fullest part of my hip.

Glory, I'm sorry, I missed the earlier thread.

In terms of the jeans, I personally love higher-rise ones if I am worried about muffintop. For some reason "High Rise" these days means just below the navel, not above it, I don't know why. Even when I am quite skinny I find lower rises manage to capture any ounce of anything extra and squoosh it out.

However, with the jeans I love that emphasize my lesser-favorite parts, I find a tunic top - one that goes to my hip-bone - hides many sins. So if you have a longer top to wear, that may be a solution!

Thanks ladies. I ended up returning these after much picture taking and hemming and hawing. I am looking forward to the time when not so much returning is required. Onto better things that make me feel fab!
