moto jacket comfusion :-P

i've been keeping an eye out on this white cropped moto jacket, but am confused with the model and price. both macys & nordstrom appear to carry it, but at different price points and slightly different descriptions. the macys review is not good, but the nordstrom reviews are good.

is this the same coat? would this work as a suitable fair weather coat, or should i look for something lighter? i already have a brown faux lined moto jacket, and wore it all the time in fall/winter.

i'm a little dense, so please help thanks...

It looks like the Macy's jacket may be pleather, and the Nordstrom's jacket is leather. Also the leather jackets is 2" longer in the toso if that is something that is important to you.
I have a pleather and a leather and I like them both.

I'm not sure, but if the Nordstrom one is cheaper than even the Macy's sale price and has consistently good reviews, why not just get that one? They both look identical to me though, FWIW.

They sure look the same to me.

I think the Macy's review is a little wacky. I mean, she gave it a 2 but is 'considering' returning it? If I give something a 2, it's because it's pretty bad, and there's no chance I'm keeping it.

Unless you've tried on the one from Macy's and specifically want that one, I'd go for the Nordstrom's one that's considerably cheaper and has better reviews.

ETA: You can't really make a judgement on the quality of an item based on one review. She could have gotten a defective one, or one that had been mistreated and returned (and that should reflect badly on the store, but not on the coat). I usually don't even pay any attention to reviews unless there's 5 or more.

I am fairly certain it is the same jacket, in which case Nordstrom would be an obvious choice. It looks like a great spring piece.
