Here’s the thing,l went into town last week to pick up a dress that the DD had ordered and l did alittle browsing(uh oh),got tempted and ordered a moto jacket.The thing is l have never ,ever worn a moto jacket so why?????
The case for the defence is;
-good quality,lovely and soft.
-great colour,goes with a lot of things l already have including a lot of my scarves that l don’t currently wear.
-is cropped.l don’t have a cropped jacket to go with the high waisted items that l have and this looks like it will work with them.
-elevates my extremely casual wardrobe but not in a way that l can’t ever see myself wearing it because it’s too smart,fussy etc..
However;
- it is cropped and being of a certain age l have put alittle bit of weight on my stomach which although l am very sanguine about it l do not want to point it out unnecessarily!
-doesn’t work as well with dresses and skirts as l thought it would -
-l don’t usually do a lot of hardware so this is quite outside my normal territory.
-temperature.Is it going to be too cold for winter but too hot for summer and therefore never worn?Both the DD and l have had moto jackets in the past and not worn them .This is a red flag .l think the reason l didn’t wear my last one was that it was very cheap and plasticky and a really weird shade if brown that didn’t go with anything but it’s made me pause.l would however wear hers as it’s red but it doesn’t fit me!
