That’s wonderful about your son and his bride. In the end that’s the most important of course. We are so happy with the man our daughter chose ( that I was MOB for in 2019) and 3 years on that’s still the case.
I did put lots of effort into my outfit and was very happy. After a fair bit of looking and thinking ( and 3 forum posts with lots of opinions!) my dress was on sale. Having one made sounds great!

So happy for you and your family! The range of favorites that everyone has so far can you let know you look very good in many styles and colors!! In fact, when I got to #8 (before reading comments), I had the thought "Wow- she can wear anything and look wonderful". Another thing to celebrate!

Jenni NZ, Could you post a photo of yourself at the wedding? I would love to see it!

Sure Marija you could also look back on my old threads in the forum- Nov 2019. And May 2019 when the poor forum had to give detailed opinions on 3 different dresses I was looking at!

It seems from the pictures that you stand more confidently in dresses 2 and 11, as if you knew you looked good. In some of the other pictures you look more diffident. Sometimes going with our gut instinct is the right thing to do. Did any of these dresses give you an emotional response?

Jenni! Great colour! I love it. And you look FAB!

Congratulations to your son and the rest of the family, Marija

...Oh and I like outfits #3 and #5 !

Congratulations to you. I suppose it depends on how formal the wedding will be, but my favorites are 2 for an evening formal or 8.

I just helped a friend accessorize her GMOB dress for an autumn wedding, and the tricky part was she bought a sleeveless gown she loved and then was unable to find a topper that pleased her. Eventually she bought a second dress that came with its own topper.

I would beware sleeveless in a Canadian autumn unless you already have a fab topper in mind, or know you won't need one for whatever reason.

FWIW, I think it's no longer considered bad luck or overly somber to wear black to a wedding, especially if the dress has a little glitz. If you google "black and white weddings" you can see plenty of images where the whole bridal party is in black, and sometimes even the cake is a BW theme.

I reread and looked at your dresses. I still think black May send the wrong message about how you feel about the bride. I would also avoid sleeveless without a topper for a church wedding. Remember in most of Europe you would not be allowed in the church. You could do a blue tulle skirt with sequined top. Remember that whatever you wear will live on forever in wedding pictures. And get prepared for the mother/son dance. All eyes will be on you. Wear or take comfortable shoes.

I like 2 and 10 most! Congrats

Congratulations Mirija! I had two sons get married in 2022 and looked at sooo many dresses! Is #1 from Teri Jon? They carry a lot of beautiful shirt dresses and that is around their price point. I did end up purchasing one of their dresses but I found it on Poshmark for around $400 less than their price and it was brand new. Also found it on ebay. Their styles run very long so might be a good fit for you. I am only 5'4" so I did have to have it shortened quite a bit. Sounds like you might be having it made but just in case you change your mind they do have beautiful dresses. Either way enjoy the wedding. We had so much fun at both that we wanted to do it all over again!

Julie, yes to Poshmark and anything previously loved. Why not right? Thanks for the name of the brand. I'm always looking for new ideas. The first one is a Canadian designer called Brian Bailey. He has his own store.

YES to Teri Jon at Neiman Marcus and on their site too!

Number 2 is the best in my opinion
