I've been doing my homework and studying Sveta's inspiration post for the Halogen yellow raisin seamed skirt and was inspired to experiment with mine. Here's the original post:

Photos #1 -2: Inspired by Sveta's animal print top in the first grouping of inspiration photos. I love how she belted her animal print top. Here's my version, untucked and tucked..

Photos #3 this look is inspired by Kari and Sona. I loved how Kari paired her skirt with a black top in her second grouping of photos and I am paying homage to Sona with the addition of the animal print scarf. Looking more closely at Kari's photo, I could probably switch out the clutch with my red bag to add a pop of color. The scarf is a recent purchase:

Photos #4-5: Another look inspired by Sveta's asymmetrical teal top. Untucked and tucked.

Photo #6: Inspired by Kari and her polka dot top! I've mirrored her red shoes with my red bag.

Photo #7: Inspired by Maryk and Sveta's blue tops! I could probable add a necklace here. The bag is paying homage to MaryK's animal print heels!

Photo # 8: Joy, Jeneva and MaryK all wore their skirts with red tops. Here's my version with last year's Hinge jacket that I got from Beth.

Photo #9: A super casual look. Brown boots and olive roll tab cardigan. (Joy, we are boot twins!)

Bonus question! Which outfit should I wear to the Senior Convocation ceremony at the high school next month?

Jean, the boots are Aerosole's Lasticity. They are manmade with rubber soles and perfect for skinny calves. I have them in both brown and black, and Joy has them too.

Suzanne, I'm glad you like #9! I thought that might be a nice out-and-about outfit. The clutch in #3 is a Lela Rose for Payless envelope clutch from a season or two ago.

Wow! These are all just spectacular!! Who woulda thunk a yellow skirt could be so versatile!!?? It's hard to pick a favorite but #9 is so new and different that it is just pushing all my buttons in a really great way!

Fantastic stylings of the great skirt. I think you might consider #8 with the jacket for the convocation as it seems the most dressy/professional look. But add a basic jacket to any of the bloused versions and you could take any one of them.

By the way, I love your Mary Jane pumps, but you didn't mention them at all! Can you tell me what brand, etc.? Thanks!

Gorgeous - #4 made me say wow. The skirt makes that bag sing. My second favorite is #8. Is the Hinge jacket leather? There's something about that skirt paired with the reds....

WOW!WOW!WOW! Thank you so much for all the inspirational pairings! Not only are we boot twins, we also are red Hinge jacket twins (#9). I'd never considered them together. You have inspired me to put an animal print blouse on my must have list. I want the fab bag in 7 and 9 too.
It's been too warm yet to get out the jackets and boots here, but next week they are coming out, weather cooperation or not.

Joy, your fabulous outfit with the red Sweet Pea top was one of the outfits that inspired the look with the Hinge jacket! It's too hot for boots and jackets here too, but I will be ready when the cooler temps come! I love that we are boot and jacket twins!

MaryK, thanks so much for your inspiration! I've had the little animal print bag that you and Joy both commented on for years and years. It was originally from Talbots. I did some internet searching and see that Nordstrom's has a cute animal print crossbody bag that is similar in looks:

Thanks Fern! The Hinge jacket is tweed with a zipper trim. It was one of Angie's top picks for the 2010 NAS (Nordstrom Anniversary Sale). I missed out on it during the sale but was lucky enough to score one when forum member Beth offered up an extra one for sale.
