More underwear questions!

I'm just curious:

For those of you who must wear matching bras and undies: Do you actually get the set or do you just try to match the color?

Is asking this question a sure sign that I am too comfortable here...?

Maya, I have to call foul. You don't want to be asked about what you sleep in, but it's Ok to ask others about their 'unmentionables?' For what it's worth, it's about color for me. Different styles of bras/pamties/foundational wear depend a lot on what I'm wearing.

When I match, it is just the color. The bras that work for me tend to be on the expensive side and I am loathe to spend money on undies. Besides, I am not a fan of synthetic/lacy bottoms.

I don't buy the matching sets except for very, very rare occasions when I can find the matching panty on sale to a bra I already own. My bras are quite expensive (as you know, Chantelle, Freya, and Fantasie don't run cheap.) Also, most of my bras are "nude" or black, so when I'm wearing a nude or black panty I can at least pretend I'm matching.

I usually just buy the matching set, I did try just matching the colour but I always felt mismatched! I usually buy M&S undies and they always have fab matched sets where both knickers and bras are suitable x

I don't buy the matching set, but as I wear all black underwear the color always matches!

I buy the matching set and then also match up the colors for more bottoms. There are some days you don't want to wear the nicer versions but I still like to match the bra to the undies. Or I will choose a print that has one color of the bra in it, that works for matching for me too.

I like my underwear to "co-ordinate" so I do both. If colours or patterns look good together, I wear them together, but it has to look like I've given it thought.

That being said, I have been know to buy sets of three where I get 2 pairs of knickers to match the same bra.

Hmm, I am not sure where you got that idea from Refugee. I talk in great detail about bras and boobs and you think I'd be shy about pajamas? :p I have mentioned many times that I wear old leggings and tunic tees from Gap Body to sleep, or PJ pants and baggy oversized shirts. All I ever said about sleepwear is that I don't think it's within the purview of YLF or any other fashion outlet to tell others what to wear.

I was just curious because so many people mentioned not feeling quite right if their lingerie doesn't match and I wasn't sure if I was the only one who can't be bothered. I try to come close with color, but it's never a perfect match and I'm fine with that. I can't imagine shelling out $25 for itchy lace nylon undies...

I *always* match the colour, but not the set. I don't mind lacy French Chantelle bras, but I need a simple laceless boy short for the tuchus.

Put me in the 'don't care in the least about matching' category! I'm most concerned with fit and visibility under different cuts of clothing or fabric clinginess - oh and comfort.

I never gave it a thought until it got mentioned here. Now I give it a thought but don't actually go out of my way to do anything about it.

I need soft, breathable cotton below, and good synthetic support above, so no matched sets for me.

I don't match. I am more concerned with fit and how it makes my clothes feel. Pretty much everythign I own is "skintone" so I guess it matches by color.
