More try-ons - input please!

So Winners is killing it for me these days - some great finds yesterday that I would LOVE everyone's input on! Usual disclaimers: no makeup, the on whatever shoes and foundation garnets were at hand. Will wear them properly in real life.

Rag & Bone tweed blazer (that @notsaf wore a post about yesterday.) So this is a size 8 and I would usually go for a 6 or 4. But guys, I LOVE this blazer. The sleeves are for sure long and a bit wide - but does it fit okay everywhere else? I would scrunch up sleeves or have them shortened anyway. I just love the details. And the collar can be worn up for a flash of red! This would replace a houndstooth J Crew blazer that isn't sophisticated enough for my style anymore.

Rust suede Theory moto: guys, the shopping gods read my mind and delivered. Luxe, sumptuous, rust colored topper was on my list! How is the fit? This would be perfect for livening up my winter greys and blacks.

Boss aqua blazer: a blazer in aqua or denim blue was also on my list and I love the heathered texture and fit of this one. Thoughts?
Tried with the white booties I bought from Lisa

Equipment cashmere sweater with embroidered lightning bolts and J brand stretch velvet pants - I love both of these / but will NOT wear them together (I just threw them on together to try.) I would wear a longer low contrast top with the pants. And the Equipment sweater will jazz up all my winter blacks ($59!!! Come on!!!)

Love the plaid blazer and the way it fits! But you’re right about the sleeves. The red jacket is lovely and luxe. Since pastels aren’t my favorite, the blue blazer is good but not spectacular to me. I’d perhaps like it better with black slacks (says the low contrast person?).

The R&B jacket is fantastic, BUT.....looking a little big across the back , maybe? Hard to tell from the side photo but there looks like a lot of room there in the shoulder,sleeve area.

The only piece I'm not jumping up and down about are the snake print pants. The fit seems a little off.....although I know velvet photographs badly. They look a little snug, to be honest.

The other pieces are outstanding. Again, please stop.

@lisa I totally agree that they do look snug (to put it nicely ) - but I sunny think they look that way in real life. I think it's the light off the velvet mashing them look that way... But I will try again just in case. Velvet sausage casing = not the look I'm going for. And yes - I will stop

Can you size down in the jacket for comparison? I'm stalking my Winners, for It myself. It's still summer clear out, but fall stock expected next week according to the SA I spoke to. Which Winners are you shopping? I used to frequent the one on College and the one on Front. I liked the Marshall's in the Theatre District (on John?) for shoes. It was also closest to work.

The rust suede is a no brainer.

Carla - I wish I could! Went the 3 Winners and no luck. The Leaside one is my local one and I usually have good luck there. I also did the Marshall's in my neighbourhood and the winners at Bathurst and Lawrence. Can't be bothered to go all the way downtown... Though I would love to try on a 4!

I’m no help—I like them all. The plaid jacket (a menswear blazer is on my list for this winter, ahem) looks good in the shoulders, particularly as I assume you’ll wear it with something heavier than a T-shirt.

The red jacket fits and is a great color for you. Is the detailing your style?

That blue blazer and the sweater, check and check.

I see what you mean about the pants, but the camera has the POV of a 6 year old, and you can style them in a way that doesn’t emphasize that area. Lovely fabric!

The paid blazer and suade jacket are perrrrfect!!! When I was in Toronto about 10 years ago visiting DH cousin we went to Winners. She said it was the same as TJ Maxx here in the US. Doesn't seem like it now.

The plaid blazer is great if it isn’t too big - it looks fine to me from the front. What do you think?

I have to give some love to the aqua blazer/t-shirt/cropped pants/white booties. Just wow - that is my personal favorite here.

The suede jacket is great, and the sweater and snake-print pants are both really fun pieces.

And, I want a Winners! What is this magical store?! Might be time for me to visit my Canadian friends...

Haha! Amazing to see you in the blazer: I love the look for this fall, which is all about menswear plaids and slightly more oversized shapes. If you find scrunching too fussy (tho it looks fab!) and the back too broad, I *think* these are alterations that can be done — but would defer to Angie on that!

I like the rust on you, and the fit is phenomenal: do try it with the light grey pants! Surprised how much I like the pale aqua: it’s a *great* color for you!

Lol - thanks so much friends!! Such great advice here and on my last thread. I think I will keep these toppers (though I have to try on the menswear blazer again to check fit from the back.)
Olive pocket blazer will go back, sadly (I want a more versatile olive blazer) as well grey pants (badly need grey pants - and I would love them with rust - but these are not the ones.)

Winners, for my US friends, is just our version of your TJMaxx or Marshalls. But at certain Winners, they have a Runway at Winners section which is all designer - it can be hit and miss but I am taking advantage while it is a hit!

The R&B blazer looks too big from the side view. I do love the style and if you had it altered, it is a beautiful jacket.

Love the rust and aqua jackets, these fit beautifully and look very luxe. The cashmere sweater and velvet pants are nice too.

I love the R&B and I think the fit looks good except for the length of the arms - which you could fix. Rust suede and aqua also excellent. Like the lightning bolts too. Wondering if the velvet might not stretch out weirdly - I would wear them around the house for a bit and see how the fit goes.

Boss aqua blazer - nice cut. The color looks washed out on its own but teamed with some deeper top, I can see it.

J brand stretch velvet pants- these are a big surprise, you've won me over they look great!

Sorry to comment late, and here's my two cents, FWIW:

R & Bone blazer - looks too roomy on the sleeves and at the back - see the side view. And it's not trying to be an oversized blazer. A confused fit, so I vote pass. That said, it might be better in a smaller size.
Theory Moto = KILLER. I'm wowed!
Boss Aqua blazer: not the best fit if you want to wear it closed. Very nice unbuttoned, and an awfully fun pastel with your complexion.
Equipment sweater = KILLER. Beautiful clean fit.
Snake skin skinnies - too tight, but can size up and have the waist altered if you love them.

I think you need that R&B blazer in the smaller size (and you can send that one to me! LOL). In seriousness, it looks a little roomy in the back. The rust jacket is amazing, love it! The aqua is nice too. And the sweater is a slam dunk. I’m not as fond of the pants but I understand they may not photograph well.

I am so jealous of your Winner's!! I went to the Vancouver store and their "Runway" section last week was nonexistent! There were 3 mingy dresses sitting on that rack. I guess they hadn't received their fall stock yet.

Onwards. I love the R&B blazer on you but the fit looks off and alterations could be pricey. I'd keep hunting for another size for your 30 days...check ebay, too. You never know.

The rust moto is gorgeous for you -- absolutely keep -- and do show us some stylings when the heat dies down.

What Angie said about the Boss. Love the colour on you but fit isn't the greatest. Though unbuttoned it looks fine.

Thanks everyone - seriously. I tend to see the possibility in everything and so I want to keep everything - but then I don't end up wearing it. Your thoughtful comments are my sober second thought.

I will do a bunch of returns this weekend and then update on what I kept.

Roxanna, I’m so curious if you will keep R&B blazer. I found a black wool R&B blazer at Winners today. It is also an 8 and fits me similarly to yours. Don’t know what I am going to do.

I'm late to the party, but I LOVE the first jacket, that plaid one with the mix-and-match plaid fabrics. I also love the light blue jacket. I am also in love with that last outfit, the one without a jacket. You look amazing in all the pics, very chic and powerful
