More travails of the white sandals

Pics 1-6 Nannette Lepore flat studded sandals. Comfort not bad for a quick try-on. Not sure how flattering they are. A little roomy on my low-volume feet...again. What do you all think?

Pics 7-12 Alexander Wang wrap sandals. I really wanted these to work. Not comfortable at all, fit is a little odd.

Perhaps it's just not meant to be with the white sandals. This is now six pairs down.

I prefer the first white and silver flat from your first post. I think the NL are nice but they do look roomy. The AWs look kind of busy with the ankle wraps. They look like a pain to put on and take off--seems like they would require some adjusting. I can sympathize with you. Your white sandals are kind of like my search for black.

Are the Nanette Lepores more comfortable than the very first pair with the silver strap? I like these, but based strictly on looks prefer that first pair. The Alexander Wangs are pretty awesome but look like too much trouble to navigate

This is tough. I really like the way the NL's look on your feet overall--maybe they're not as gladiator-tough, but they're very flattering. But, they are a bit roomy in the straps.

If you're not desperate maybe should keep looking. Every time I compromise on how the shoe fits to my foot (gapping and gaping and all that), I'm not happy. Also, shoes are dynamic. I watch them while I walk around, sit down, cross legs. That also exposes fit issues. To me the point is, it's not just a shoe, it's a shoe-foot partnership and the whole package needs to look neat and comfortable and like it belongs on your foot.

I like the Nanette Lepore a lot. I would have thought first to put you in white gladiators, but these also have a bit of surprise glamour.

I still have the Rag & Bones and the white & silver Sol Sanas. I haven't totally ruled them out, but I'm being really picky. Something has bugged me about every pair I've tried on!

By contrast, I wanted to wear those gold Matt Bernsons right off the bat. I was tempted to wear the Sol Sanas when I first tried them, but photos made me reconsider.

I tried and tried to find white sneakers or flat sandals I liked, and finally decided that I just didn't like how the white worked against my skin color on my legs. I switched to looking at silvers or light pinks and dark blushes and suddenly it all worked better.

I didn't see your first post, but I agree with rachylou that gladiators might work well.

LePore...Sorry you are having a difficult time with this...Sometimes in my head, I can get the record stuck like this and I can't seem to make a decision...does that feel right?...Maybe you just need to back away from the white sandals and let the universe send you the perfect pair when you least expect them...smile..

Thanks, ladies! Crutcher, I think you have the right idea. I'm going to return the definite no-go's and consider the NLs and the first pair I posted (the Sol Sana silver and white ones). Try out some stylings, wear around the house to evaluate comfort, etc.

It's so funny. I've made so many impulsive shoe purchases, when I just fell in love off the bat. It's not happening this time, and that's ok. I have no lack of shoes.
