Photo 1 shows new weekend boots. I am thinking of wearing with trousers or a long straight skirt and leather moto jacket with thicker tights. Or a long ribbed dress. Any ideas would be welcome. Really, it is a "relaxed Friday evening going out for supper to the local pub type outfit" I want. Something easy to pull on, and as the boots are fake ponyskin (?) and the heels too, I was thinking about contrasting fabrics and textures.

Then for work, I ordered two pairs of shoes from Audley.

2 & 3 show the shoes that I am keeping. The gap for me at work, is low shoes that I can walk comfortably around in and go to smart meetings. The heels have a slight crackle effect. I did wonder if they were a little plain but on balance, the quality of the leather and cut is good, and so I forgave them!

4 are lovely, but the heel is quite heavy looking in proportion to the rest of the shoe. I like the navy, and they would look great with the toes peeping out from trousers, but I think I am going to send them back.

So, no more shoe shopping for me for a while! I'm hoping that my feet reap the benefit of the care that i've taken in selecting the shoes! Time will tell!
