More shoe help - my favourites have more options1

Remember how you guys helped me sort out some choices for my favourite Cole Haan wedges? Well, uh, they come in open-toe styles too. And are also on sale.
I really only want one pair in this style, and what I really think I need is a super-versatile spring-summer neutral. Canadian climates really do preclude the use of open-toe footwear any time after October.
You had all mentioned "twine" as a good nude shade for me on the previous thread, which obviously ensured that it wouldn't be available in this style. Are any of the other ambiguous colour names (like Electra or Punch) a viable alternative? Would you advise a cream-coloured one? Or perhaps the rose-gold metallic? If I *did* get the rose-gold, would it be too matchy with my new coach bag or look nicely polished?

Hi Michelle,

Here are some of the descriptions of the colors for the peep-toe wedge:

Punch is a pretty, bright pinkish coral. Lovely shade but definitely not a neutral. Same thing with Electra, it is a bright darker pink, some might call it fuchsia. Both are patent leather which at least for my feet is less comfortable as it does not stretch and mold to your feet like regular leather does.

Rose gold is gorgeous, a pale metallic blush with a warm undertone, and leather. It would loojklovely on you. The heel on these is made of jute and they have a look of espadrilles, so that might make them more casual.

Cream snake print is also lovely, the snake pattern is very subdued and in pale shades of tan and the heel is cork.

Tanya is right on the money. If you want a neutral, I'd vote for the rose gold metallic or the cream snake print. The snake print is subtle and soft shades of grey, taupey-tan, and bone -- I can see it working well with a lot in your closet.

I'm quite liking the Bark Patent. A very Lilac nude - or soft lilac. Subtle. Very cool toned, which is your thing. You can wear it like a neutral.

I also like the warmer Rose Gold. Much warmer, but I think it will work.

I agree with all that Tanya said. Personally I wouldn't worry about the rose gold being too matchy with your purse. I would want to check that the two shades will coordinate well; it's something you can only tell once you get them together. We could look at photos here, and you'd probably also want to have someone advise you in person. But it's a color you like, and it looks great with your skin, so I'd be inclined to snatch it up. I can't say how many "pewter" leather items I have--shoes and belts--because it is such a great neutral with my hair. Many of them don't go together all that well, though.

Ivory also looks pretty to me, if you like patent; it is an off-white, not yellowy shade. It is patent leather with a jute heel, so very low contrast between heel and shoe.

Canyon Rose seems the one choice that is close to a nude for you; it is a very soft blush pink patent, with a medium-brown wood tone heel. To me, the higher contrast heel is less appealing in this open-toe style than in the closed-toe version we were looking at.

I like Angie's pick of the Bark, too. I thought about that one but wasn't sure if you would want something that leaned lilac. I see it as a lilac-tined gray-taupe, a great cool-toned neutral. It has the jute heel.
