I've been busy sewing............ loving it!!!
Here's what I've made lately

This is a two piece outfit (so I can also wear them seperate)
The top was made from a pattern, the skirt is just freeform.

Skirt by me. I added the ruffel to tanktop. Cardi is from Loft

LOVE these skirts. I also have a yellow chevron one. They are soooo easy to make. Top was from a little boutique in Galveston. It's so cute (it has kitties on it)

Dress I made. Wish shirt was a tad fuller.

Who knew Tshirts were so easy to make. Fabric jersey fabric is soooo soft

I have many more projects lined up...
I am a pretty novice seamstress. I've just been teaching myself.

Well for a novice you must be a quick study they are all fab!
You've shown everything from dressy to casual tees. and they all look flawless. If you hadn't have said about wishing the skirt was narrower in 4 I wouldn't have known any better, its great. The high low skirt is great. Is that a jersey? It hangs nicely.
Also, the dress you added after is pretty and a flattering shape. love the turquoise picked out with your necklace.

the jersey is tricky... it bunches on me sometimes too.

the hi-low skirt is a jersey (very thin) got it from a website called Girl Chalee fabrics. Great prices for cute knits

I find jersey always needs a special stretch sewing needle and try a very slight zig zag stitch when sewing so that it keeps a bit of seam stretchability.Also an 'Even Feed' or a 'Walking foot' helps fabric move through the machine too.

So impressive! It makes me want to lug out the old sewing machine.

Where do you shop for patterns, or do you do your own? A few years ago I got a book about making your own skirt patterns and made the most lovely little skirt from it.

Lovely looks, Teri! Have you noticed that it can talk as long to drive to the mall and shop for a dress as it does to make it? Of course, we can get lost in fabric stores, too, searching for the perfect piece for a project. And then, there's the mess!

I am impressed, especially that you can sew jerseys. I always struggled with those. Terrific assortment, I especially like the dress in 4 and the tee in 5. The tee looks like something from Splendid.

Wow, Teri! I'm impressed of your skills! All are beautiful. I reall can appreciate the uniquety of an original print, color, or sewing pattern! I once loved sweing, and still do all my family's alterations by myself, but was always fearing the nowaday trendy flowy fabrics, as they all tend to be strechy-do you have an interlock maschine? I also am also fearing the perfect hemming, esp. on neklines. Can you pls advise can it be so easy to do such fab things?

I'll have to look at home and make a post about the patterns I used for each piece. I have just a very simple machine (nothing fancy at all)

Thanks for all the compliments. I get most of my patterns from Hobby Lobby, JoAnn's and Hancocks (whoever has a sale) I've found a great website for buying jersey (www.girlcharlee.com)

I have a few new outfits I've sewn, but I'l post when I have the pattern numbers for you beautiful ladies

Wow, I am always impressed by sewing skills! I got a machine last year and took an intro class but some cocktail napkins and a pair of pajama pants was the extent of my creations!

Wow--great job on sewing and styling these outfits! I think the dress with the tourquoise necklace (dress you posted last) is my fave, though it's hard to pick one. I love those colors, the style of the dress on you with the pretty sleeve detail, and your styling with that fab necklace. These all have such bright, feminine looks, very fresh and summery.
