Thanks for the suggestion, TG. I'm still waiting for the right pair of cropped flares to come my way... That sounds like a good look for early spring, when it's not so cold out any more, but we can't toss everything off yet either.
Thea, I'm looking forward to your WIWs. I want to try these with jeans, don't know if I have any that are long enough. I bet wearing them with high rise straight legs and a mildly cropped top would make my legs look long.
slim cat, ohhh, colored laces! I hadn't thought of that. Cool idea! When I got these out, I intended to wear them with a dress cut very much like that one, but then I realized it doesn't have any blue in it. These shoes are navy; do you think they'd work with that black and cream/beige/sparkle dress?
Synne, that's the second time you've nudged me towards cream lately. I'm wearing an all-cream catburgler suit (as SunTiger calls her black underpinnings) right now because of that, and will see how various things look over it when I go out in a bit.
Rachylou, it is sort of a repeat. I'll go try to dig out the other post in a minute. Is it the primness of the hair that makes it work? I need to get in the habit of trying different things with it. But not too much doo-daddery on my head or my feet!
Gigi, good idea to try out the laces and make sure they aren't too distracting before buying. I hadn't thought of that.
Liesbeth, I generally don't wear heels--I always say I have to be able to run in my shoes. In our adventures yesterday, my son and I ran for two different buses, and I didn't break the cookies I was carrying or an ankle. Altogether we walked over two miles, and my back and feet were fine. These are somehow balanced just right for my feet/legs. Glad you like the styling. I can't explain why, but I thought the straight skirt might be better than a swingy one.
