Sorry, I don't have much time to be on the forum this week - as I spent last weekend in Chicago I am on the "critical path" to get ready for my trip next week.
Anyway I wanted to post my other purchases from Chicago - not as K-R but just to share the joy!:-)
1-3: Anthro "denim" tencel shirt Sara and Jonesy convinced me to get and I love it. I love the drape, the swing, the asymmetric hem, the color... The only complains I have about it that the buttons don't go all way to the collar and that the cuffs do not have buttons and therefore cannot be cuffed. However I think I will ask my mom to fix this: add 2 buttonholes and split the cuffs apart so I can cuff them She even had an idea to add zippers to the cuffs which I am mulling over: we will see!
Also these pictures feature another steal from Chicago: Paige Canyon Flares which are long enough for my heels and which cost me $50 at the Rack! I LOVE them too!
pic 4-6 I got 2 animal print shirts in Chicago: this Bellatrix polyester one and Esprit silk one in black and grey animal print. While driving home I was chiding myself for buying both: they are different in color but close enough in style and print - why did I think I needed two? And then I had that light bulb moment: so I can give one to my mom! So the silk Esprit one is living now in her closet and makes her happy and I am happy with my Bellatrix! Now my 15-year old tiger print shirt can rest in peace...
These David Tate animal print booties are another purchase from this trip even though not from the meet up. I was looking for this kind of booties since Angie showcased her fab Matisse booties last fall. I hope these babies will hold through the walking test because they will be a very useful addition to my booties regimen (so far containing my only one pair - black Clarks booties).
I have a question about them though: in pic 6 I have one boot with lace bow exposed and another where it is hidden. I feel that those exposed lace bows look too clunky - should I cut the ends of so they look sleeker? There is a zipper on the side so I will never tie or untie them.
pic 6 - Express trousers. They were approved by Angie - Zap, where are you, my trousers twin?
pic 7-8 Michael Kors coloblocked tunic I found on a sale rack in Macy's. I wish it was 4" longer so I could wear it as a dress but I think it will work well with leggings and skinnies for me. I guess I was just smitten with this color combo of cobalt and black!
Need to run now - talk to you later!
