Second day in a row of wearing the Gap jeans — they seem to be a good replacement for my ancient faded low-rise Gap bootcuts. I’m still adjusting to the higher rise on these, and they are maybe a bit long in the rise now that I look at photos, but they are comfortable. The length works with my flattest shoes.
Worn with an old brown/black/turquoise shirt from Target (the Who What Wear line), a deep brown suede Bernardo jacket that I got for $25 at one of those Nordstrom Rack red dot sales off season, and black Free People shoes from a couple of years ago. Silver and turquoise jewelry to pick up the color in the shirt and my refreshed hair color.
I got my hair cut and colored the other day, and my stylist cut my bangs a little shorter than I prefer, so I feel a little self-conscious of that, but my hair grows quickly. He and I were joking about how I hide my forehead behind bangs (a friend of mine has a bumper sticker that says “bangs before Botox” and I can relate!), so I think he was trying to nudge me out of my comfort zone. I guess nothing is going to hide my age anymore anyway, since the lower half of my face is the giveaway now, LOL.
