Seriously. At the end of the day, it is still Target. With that kind of cash, you can get some pretty stunning, well made things.

Sad thing is that these people that have to have it now at any price will keep fueling the eBay lottery fire with people hoping to hit the jackpot by selling something at such an inflated price.

Yeah, for these prices you can definitely get some M Missoni, and possibly some Orange Label from consignment.

Oh and by the way, these are the prices of SOLD items. Not active listings. No wonder I hate eBay.

I happened to go to Target tonight for school snacks....and the cashier was telling me how crazy it had been and that they rang up totals over and over of $600 -$800. I looked at some of the children's clothing, but some was much more expensive than I normally buy ( though I splurge on Boden pants for my son ) and the quality was just not there..and it was still made in China.

Somethings were very beautiful, like a couple of vases and a quilt...but not enough to move me. I have to say that I LOVED the bike, but it a grand, really ? You could get a nice racing bike for that !

Though I think that I am moved enough to write Target and let them know that people should not be allowed to clear them out and then sell on e.bay. That is just really unfair. They should do what Nordstrom has been doing for years on this. You get caught doing twice, you are banned. Forever.

Wow, Nordstrom really does that? I had no idea. I would think it would be impossible to keep the eBayers away, let alone ban them. I love Nordstrom even more.

DL - yes, I read an article a few years ago in Businessweek about how some companies were running out of merchandise for "legitimate" customers because of e.bay sellers. So Nordstrom really took the bull by the horns. Sometimes it is very obvious and sometimes it isn't, but , boy if they think that you are doing it....they end it. No one messes with a Nordstrom customer !

AG, Nordstrom wouldn't reveal too much info on their methods, but they did say that they have security that monitors people with very large orders and that they will review large orders of things in different sizes or that are out of "character"...a man buying 50 silk scarves or clearance bags. Another flag was people who show up regularly for sales first thing in the morning and then shop "indiscrimantely" by just grabbing arm loads.

I can definitely see how that would be an issue at Nordstrom Rack. That explains why I never see people with carts full of stuff there. Nordstrom is awesome-sauce.

so, did Target only get a limited stock and that's it? None of this stuff with be available in the future? I honestly don't understand why anyone would pay more on e-bay than it cost in the store.

Totally ridiculous. I would love it if ebay buyers bought up all the real Missoni and left the Target stuff to haunt these unscrupulous resellers. I'm sure it won't happen, but the spiteful grump in me would love it.

I must admit I prefer my Missoni *inspired* knit dress by Guess to what is available at Target. It could be there are just one too many colors for me in one print!

I *really* wanted the ballet flats, not because they are Missoni, but I loved how colorful they were, pretty cute in person also. I usually wear a 10 & they were waaay to long..I tried a 9, too small. I am not sure if they offered a 9.5 & were out or not, but that is what I was hoping for. I did pick up an umbrella which I needed anyway..& a couple of "maybe" blouses.

I was hoping to pick up one of the non-zig zagy but very colourful throw pillows that would go perfectly with our living room decor. Nothing else really appealed to me much.
