Incorporating some of Angie and Inge, Janet and K's suggestions for styling this baby. Is there hope or am I fooling myself? Are any of these suitable for a casual NYE gathering? Or should I return? Original thread is here. Thanks.
1/2 -- Worn with slim boyfriend jeans. With cami showing (1), and with a belt showing (2).
3/4 -- Shakuhachi tuxedo stripe pants
5/6 -- H&M upscale track pants. These are the slimmest option I own while still being somewhat fluid. They are very tapered.
7/8 -- Eileen Fisher harem pants.
9/10 -- Antique navy pinstripe pencil skirt. It's way too tight, so there's no way I would wear this tomorrow.
11/12 -- Burgundy plaid pants, shown with dressy (11) and casual (12) footwear.
Other options -- white boyfriend jeans, light blue distressed boyfriend jeans, burgundy skinnies, paisley skinnies. Reaching deep into my closet here.
