Boy, rises are still so low! I really thought that there would be more options in rises by now.

I liked the Habitual from IN Trends...but there was no rise measurement.

Even though you found some great jeans, Tanya, I think I'm going to put cream jeans on the back burner. The rises are all so low and the prices so high. Maybe if I don't REALLY want them I might bump into some somewhere

I am sorry none of these are working out for you ladies. The third pair does have a higher rise, but the website does not say what it is.

Edit: I found that info on another website and it is 10"!

What is everyone's opinion on contrast stitching with white jeans. I know Shiny has issues with contrast stitching--and I'm starting to agree with her, especially with dark jeans. But I've noticed some cream jeans with a golden yellow stitching, and I'm not sure how I feel about it. My initial reaction is, I don't like it, but I think it could grow on me if I get used to the look.

Nicole, I'm beginning to dislike contrast stitching on jeans (especially white jeans). I think it will date them faster IMO. I don't know about the golden yellow stitching yet.

Nicole, I too have some issues with contrast stitching, sometimes I feel colored stitching limits the items you can style with the jeans.

I really was looking for a pair of straight legs with a decent rise (9 inches) and so far it seems really hard to find.

Hmm....ideally, I think I'd like tonal stitching (cream on cream) rather than threading that is a different color. I think I'd at least try almost anything at this point, though.

I decided not to go for them in the end because I am still on the fence about cream jeans, but let me give a report for those of you looking. First, the jeans are supposedly ivory. They are but I think they're pretty close to white too. The have a 16" leg opening which for me is right in between straight and bootcut, more boot cut really. They have a super high rise-- they covered my belly button which is probably at least 10" on me although I didn't measure. I'm also guessing the waist band measurement actually corresponds to the sizing. The best thing is the price and they are good quality though I can't comment on whether they grow. Maybe these will work for somebody here. I just wasn't thrilled with them for myself. Even though I've adjusted my eye to white jeans, I'm not sure my eye is adjusted to cream. As to sizing, I'd say they're true to size but it probably helps to have a small waist to hip ratio.
