I ordered more booties online, and this time they actually fit right, and I can walk in them!

This is a hard one!

I think the first pair still gape a lot around your very slim ankles- do your feet move around much in them? I think I'd find it quite annoying with the extra leather around my ankles. I prefer how they look with jeans tucked into them though over the 2nd pair.

I think I'm being quite unhelpful but I vote: pair 1 for jeans and pair 2 for dresses and skirts.

As a side note- how hard is it to take photos of your own feet from various angles?! I just posted a thread about new shoes and it was really hard to take the pics!

I like the Tsubos, but they still look slightly loose around the ankle to me! This can be overlooked, though, if they are comfy enough.

I think the Tsubos are beautiful and look great on you! The others look too big around your ankles - in my opinion. The Tsubos are so rich looking and I love the height of the heel. Those are working!

Megan, I took all of these pictures with the mirror. The ones where I'm not actually photographing myself in the mirror, I used the mirror to see what the camera shows, and then take the picture. That only works for the close-ups because the angle is awkward, but it provides a higher quality image.

The Tsubos don't feel loose around the ankle when I walk, and the upside to the bit of extra space is that I can still fit skinnies into them. I can also wear skinnies over them, which I didn't photograph.

The Tsubos look very chic they are my favorite. They are a little loose but most of the ankle boots are. The GB look good with jeans but not dresses. If I could wear heels I would good for the heels always.

I guess I'm alone but I don't like the Tsubos at all. The Gabriellas are supposed to be loose around the ankle. That's the style. I prefer those.

I'm with Maya I also prefer the Gabriellas. The Tsubos look a little formal/dressier in style.

I like Gabriella's better on you: they are slouchy type so gaping on the ankle is expected. Other pair looks too big in the ankle - and they are the style which you do not expect to gape. Also the heel issue - I thought you were after a lower and more comfy boots...

I love the Tsubos -- the others look a little weird to me, but I think that's because my eye isn't there yet, not because there's a problem. Zappos says the heel on the Tsubos is 3 1/2 inches -- is that right? If it is, they're definitely too high for me for everyday.

I honestly think both pair look too big in the ankles with skirts (makes them look a bit too big overall, like you are wearing the wrong size shoe, but i think that is an illusion). With skinnies, I love them both, but particularly like the Gabriella's.

Without looking at anyone's comments I vote the first pair - Gabrielle Rocha. I much prefer them to the Tsubos. Very fab! Are they comfy?

The Tsubos aren't suppose to gape like that with bare legs - whereas the GR's are perfectly fine to gape. Hope that makes sense.

Goldie, the Tsubo heel height on zappos is wrong. Every other website says they're 2.5", and I measured them and that's true. They're not much shorter than the miz mooz booties I tried, but the heel is a bit thicker, and walking in them in the house has been great so far.

I'm wearing the Gabriella Rocha boots around the house now, and in addition to not having any arch support, I think the toe box isn't short enough for my toes Edit: and after looking closely at them, the craftsmanship is not up to my standards for $100 - there are parts where the leather and stitching are not quite straight and I can see excess glue holding the sole on.

Angie, I understand that the Tsubos aren't supposed to gape. Are the Miz Mooz booties ok to gape? For booties like the Tsubo, can there be any gape at all, or do they have to be close enough that skinnies can't be tucked in.

Also, Angie, do you not like the Tsubos, or you just don't like them as much? What would you recommend for a comfortable, low heel, closed toe, cognac leather bootie that works with both skirts/dresses and skinnies? My ankles are 7.5". They need to be versatile, and hopefully last a couple seasons. Preferably no studs, laces, or buckles.

The Miz Mooz booties have a cuff which makes the style fine to gape (the heel is high though - I have had that style on my feet). The Tsubos are supposed to look a little neater around the ankle because its a more streamlined silhouette. A bad fit on your dainty ankle. I like the style though! It's nice!

Have you looked in the YLF store? That's a good place to start. My goodness! So many options! Click on all the colours. Check out the Blow fish, MIA and Steve Madden and brands too. Pikolino has potential this season too as does Clarks. Fryes are looking fab and so are most of the expensive brands. I have yet to see a better boot season. There MUST be something for you and and your pocket.

I like both....the G ones remind me of my Blowfish Wheatons a lot....which are comfy and only $58
