I jumped on the sand colored Rory bandwagon when 6pm had them on deep discount earlier in the week. They arrived yesterday. I had only told dh I had ordered them the night before, so he was floored by the quick delivery. Woot for free shipping!

I'm smitten.

I'm not sure if they are as soft as other pairs of Rorys, but if they were any softer, I'd be afraid that I'd rip the heal putting them on. I did have the same trouble with getting my foot in as everyone else, but I'm finding a few tricks to speed that up.

The color is wonderful. Color was my whole hesitation and I finally decided they would be nice in the summer with bare legs. When they arrived yesterday, I tried them on with my grey sheath dress and black tights and ended up wearing them with that outfit for my night out to a school concert.

I ordered a half size down from my normal size and I wondered if I could have gone down a full size. They were definitely roomy.

As far as the calf goes, I measured myself at a 14.5 in circumference and I am able to pull these up on bare legs, or over tights. They are definitely snug, but I know they'll stretch a little. I was happy to see that I had that flexibility in how I wear them.

There is some streakiness to the color on the shaft of the boot, and I couldn't decide if it was intentional or not. It looked like the glaze was not uniformly applied. I decided that as much as I love them, and for the bargain I snatched them up at, I could definitely overlook it, even if it was a flaw.

So, if anyone else is on the fence, they're definitely worth stalking. I think they're probably worth full price too, but if you can get them on sale, don't hesitate. They're beautiful. My 13 year old saw them and said "I want them!"

I'll try to post pictures this afternoon. Sorry for the long post. I hemmed and hawed over these boots for so long, I thought I'd give my feedback for anyone else still contemplating getting them.
