I wish I could show you a picture of my mom in her new little black dress that she found today on the sale rack at Fred Meyer, of all places. I have little doubt that it would be dubbed "killer" if she uploaded an image here. I believe the brand is GNW, and it was marked down from $68 to $50-ish and further reduced by 40% (to a total of $30) on a sale rack.

It came with a little black and white patterned cropped cardigan, but the dress itself is fantastic on her - a modest scoop neck, straight skirt, fitted but not clingy around the waist, very small/low slit in the back, barely an inch above knee length. I think it will be perfect for her in dressy situations or to layer over soft blouses. (She doesn't like collared shirts & they definitely aren't necessary in her lifestyle or job, but it would be great over woven button-downs too.)

My mom's figure is VERY similar to mine, so I'd definitely recommend this dress for other curvaceous hourglasses out there. I like it even better than the LBD that Maya and I both got from Esprit.
