You look wonderful! I love your new haircut. So chic!

wow, the short haircut really brings out the wavy texture of your hair! Love the haircut and definitely would like to see more kurtas (this one is beautiful) and South Asian wear...I unfortunately have absolutely no occasions to wear mine.

I really like your hair. And you should post all your lovely clothes.

Gorgeous! You are so brave and what a wonderful result. Well done!

I love your haircut, it really suits you brilliantly. I also like your kurta very much (I think this is the correct term - correct me if I am wrong).

You look beautiful. Hair and outfit are fabulous. More please!

Lovely cut. Tell your husband he takes great pics! I can see why Khaadi is a leading brand; the colors and design look fab on you.

Love the hair and the outfit!

Thank you so much every one. Your kind and encouraging words are deeply appreciated. thank you for indulging me -

sorry i cannot reply to every one and just answering few questions which few members asked, but trust me i am blowing kisses towards all of you

DianeG: I think the member you mentioned must be before my time. i have not seen any traditional outfits so i wanted to ask the members first .
also, this top/kurta has embroidery all over it. The beige design all over and on borders is not a print. I absolutely adore all things you mentioned. Thank you!

Smitte:
Thank you! I picked up a sculpting pomade from a local drug store (walgreens) to add some texture. i am forgetting the brand name but it was suppose to create a messy look. I have really thick and coarse hair with slightly wavy texture. i just needed to "nudge" them in right direction.

this youtube video was my inspiration --- as i am planning to let my gray hair grow

Suz: thank you for your words. initially i was confused by this juxtaposition of eastern outfit and more modern ( aka western) haircut. but it grew on me quickly.  i will keep showing you my face as long as dear hubby keeps taking my pretty pictures..

BethAnn: ooooohh.. an compliment with Angie's name in it! i am FLATTERED --- her recent hair style is my favourite and SO FAB.  Now i am grinning ear to ear

Crazyone: Thank you ! I do not have many either but since last few years with trend of long shirts/pants over pants and crisscross of inter cultural influences i am wearing them more and more. Also I am not working right now so my lifesttore.yle is much more casual. I also really like to mix things from various cultures as i have spent each decade of my life in three different countries , i have picked things from there. I am more of a " world market" style girl.

Angie: Thankyou Bosswoman!! I am humbled

KiwiGal: you are absolutely correct, it is a kurta --- ( which mostly means ..a knee length loose fitting, full sleeved top worn by men or women )

Finally <b)momo: yay for YOU and me!!!!! Thank you for starting that hair inspiration thread. I was too non committed to tell anyone but all comments on your post helped. I hope you are enjoying the freedom.. I am still learning to style my hair and how well it goes with my current-not-really-updated wardrobe. I feel so light.

Whoa! No half measures here You look Vogue mag ready!

Absolutely fabulous hair and outfit. And so brave to make such a sweeping change in one moment. I'm not surprised you weren't recognized at first-it really is a dramatic change.

Wow! Your new haircut looks great! It was a brave move to cut it so short all at once.

Just saw this. Your hair is gorgeous at any length: the new cut is amazing! Wow for how the shape showcases your features, and your specs, too! Very chic and lovely. Enjoy it.

Wow! You look gorgeous with your new do.

Your new cut is so becoming. It really suits you. Well done!
