I bought the Gap cream tote yesterday. It was marked down to $28...and I had a $20 rewards cert so I got it for $8. Woo Hoo!!

It's much bigger than I remembered--but I definitely need a nice tote back to bring to work, so it'll get used daily.

Great Nicole! We are bag twins now. I've been using mine a lot and I really like it. It does scratch though, as I found out, so it can't be abused too badly

Thanks for asking about the job, Inge. It's going really well. I like my boss a lot--she's very easy to work for (and with). She is very clear about what she wants and holds no punches--which I appreciate in a person.

I used my new bag today--but as I was crossing the street I noticed that my shoes and my bag were both patent. Is that a no no ?? (I had on my red LC boots).

I also went back to the Gap and bought the bag in grey for my 23 year old SIL who is in grad school in Boston. She is 5'9" or 5'10" and I asked a tall shopper to try the bag on for me. I wanted to make it would work as a purse not just a tote--if she chose to do that. I got a bunch of i Tunes gift cards for the young adults on my list, but I always like to give a more personal gift along with a gift card--so hopefully this will be a nice gift for a broke grad student!
