My mom has brain cancer and won't have much longer with us so I was very happy to host her for Easter dinner at our house. The weather was beautiful and we spent some time in the sunshine. I snapped this selfie of us which I think I will cherish forever. She doesn't look quite like the old her because of the stroke she had during surgery, but I can still see her personality shining through.

We have always been close, I am the oldest of 5 and was her right hand growing up. As an adult we loved to spend time together shopping, crafting, baking, just hanging out. We have always had a lot in common which made it fun to be together.

When she is gone there will be only 3 of the 7 of us left which I find so crazy and sad. I miss them all and wish I could just visit with them and hug them like I can still do with Mom. But I do find that it helps to look at pictures and talk about them so I guess that is why I felt the need to post. Thanks for listening
