Is there such a thing? I have a few skirts and dresses which would benefit from a touch of volume on my (rather flat) backside.

I've seen dresses where it was sewn in, but I've never seen them for sale separately (well, except for wedding dresses). Having said that, it would be EASY, I mean, REALLY, REALLY EASY to make one if you wanted to see how it would fluff up your skirts.

Ebay has tons of vintage ones, but they always cost a fortune. I have one I wear for costumes

but if shortened (take up waistband) would work. I agree try bridal or dance stores. I think the square dancing and other dance types wear them regularly.

Thanks for the suggestions! It's very clever, but I'm not sure I could wear padded panties. I'd feel so self conscious! "Hey, isn't her bootie larger than normal today?"

Check on ebay for vintage crinoline slips--they are abundant! I have one for all my 50s dresses when I feel like a bit more drama is appropriate.

Well the bridal shops usually add them for free when you buy a dress. You should really go and ask for one. They have 2/3 circles variations. And from a sumer bride I found out they are much more fun than petticoats who feel uncomfortable in heat. So frothy petticoats in autumn/winter and bridal crinolines in the summer. Why shouldn't you use the ones in bridal shops? ( they might be more inexpensive than vintage ones, they're just some circles made of elastic plastic linked by some voile)
