Miz Mooz Tenjune: Yay or nay?

Considering these as my cognac shoe option (the Fossils are out in my size!). Thoughts?

I'm really lusting after the Frye Naiya kiltie oxford in this grey-brown but the heel and the price are giving me serious pause:

Buy both and return one!

I had been looking at the Tenjune shoes in gray but ultimately decided to pass as I wasn't in *love* with them.

I like them much better in the cognac though, so definitely give them a shot.

I really like the Miz Mooz Tenjune in cognac.

The Frye ones look fantastic, but they look like they'd be "sitting shoes" only.

Pains me to say it, but the combo of color and rouching on the Tenjune makes it look like a pruney foot that spent too long in the tub... *runs away*

The platform of the Fryes equates to a 2.5" foot angle. Is your heel height requirement due to angle, or is it an overall distance-from-ground-hoof-effect of a very high heel?

I know, Rae - I have the same issue. I'm just not in love with them, though they technically fit the bill. LOL at "pruney foot"! i guess that means I shouldn't get them, since I don't adore them.

My heel height issue is angle - platforms are a godsend. Thus, I could easily do 2.5", assuming the heel and platform specs are correct. But the price! The silver oxfords should get here today, and maybe if they don't work I can switch out. So many shoes, so little cash!

I hear you! I think you shouldn't get anything you don't love... that's exactly when the universe will mock you by presenting something way better a month later. Plus, not all the spring lines are out yet.

Are the Frye Lois Oxfords too classic for you? Half the price, at Endless, and a sensible 2.5 inch heel. (Not sure why my link wasn't working.)

Those Miz Mooz are fine, but option #2 is far superior. IMO.

Are you sure that heel height is unmanageable? There's a massive platform under the toe, so the slope of the footbed isn't that steep.

i saw the Lois oxfords, but they are not breaking my heart the way these are. I'm a sucker for that kiltie look. I'll have to revisit MaryK's post on her similar shoes!

You know I have a slight problem taking the miz mooz brand seriously due to its name! I love the Frye's but the heel would kill me.

I love those Frye shoes and have been keeping an eye on them. I saw them in person and did think they were a little extreme for me, although beautiful.

I also looked at these ones, which are very similar, but a lower heel height.
