Miz Mooz boots K/R and WIW - YouLookFab Forum

HI!

I posted before about these Angie pick Miz Mooz boots from the NAS. They are zippable but snug fitting over bare legs/tights, and I might be able to get away with them with leggings, but jeans probably wouldn't fit. #1-4 is standing up and #5-6 is sitting. I'm really torn because they are the perfect heel height, very comfortable, I like the color, and the price is reasonable for tall boots. I also have a pair of brown leather Frye Veronica slouch boots that I can wear with jeans, so maybe I don't need these to be jeans-compatible? Do you think they look like they pooch out too much in the inner calf area when I sit down though?

#7-8 is the MOTG Angie formula that I wore yesterday to shop at Costco and grocery store. It's the Vince Camuto tube skirt, and a neon pink Gap tee that I bought on clearance for <$10. I wore white Born cork wedges. This is the closest I have to a drapey tee. Is it drapey enough?

#8 is WIW for around the house today. BF jeans, a ruffled white tee, and a cobalt blue belt that's hard to see in the photos. If I leave the house I'll wear grey converse or navy patterned Toms.

Any thoughts, comments, criticisms welcome!

The boots are a great fit when you stand in #1 and #3. A little snug in #5. Are they comfortable around the calf area? I wonder if it's worth having them stretched on the calf. Comfortable tall boots are hard to find.

#7 is sweet! A very casual skirt rendition that is as comfy as pjs. An even drapier trapeze tee would look fab too.

#8 is great too. How do you feel about rolling the jeans a little shorter?

Another vote for trying to have the calf area stretched. I do think they look a bit tight. In #5 it looks as though the zip won't quite go to the top?
Yes a drapey tee would be great too in #7. 8 is nice!

I can't say I have any good advice on the boots. I tend to err on the side of caution when it comes to boots, so if it were me I might return them but it's true leather does stretch!

Love your striped skirt outfit, you are making me seriously hanker for a striped skirt!

I'd probably return these - they just look so close to being too tight - I wouldn't want to worry about how they looked when I was sitting and since you already have brown boots I'd hold out until I found some that were perfect!

Oh; those boots are adorable, but they do look a bit tight, don't they? I hope the calf stretching works!

I feel you on the boots! If the happiness factor is high -- if you love the boots, I think a stretching might be enough, at least for bare legs and leggings.

I'm so on the fence regarding the stretching. I really want them to work. I wonder if those leather stretching sprays work? The price is right but if I will feel self conscious they aren't worth it and I should save up for another pair of fryes or something. But I'm kind of curious to try stretching it since I feel like I only need a hair more room and I would never have the guts to try it on a pair of boots twice the price. And I have returned 4 pairs already this summer for the same reasons (slightly tight but still able to

I feel for you with the frustration of finding tall boots that fit both feet AND calves! I would ask to have them stretched at Nordstrom. If you only need a little room, chances are they can do it. If they can't, they'll tell you.

Oh, and they are very cool boots! Also love your tube skirt and BF jeans outfits.
