Sis I have one favourite bag that I wish I could duplicate. When you find that perfect size and style, I think it is well worth getting another. I love your red bag, but do think that a white version would be perfect for summer weather.

Sorry, just saw that auto correct changed Suz to Sis.

The only thing I have ever regretted NOT duplicating is bags. I have some that are perfect in every way, and I desperately wish I had another color or even a replacement for a well worn one, but the style can no longer be found. So I would strongly encourage you to get the bag. As for white, spray the leather with a protector and you may find that it doesn't get nearly as dirty as you fear, and if it does it can be more easily cleaned if it was protected first. A purse hanger is a great idea to carry with you to avoid ever having to set it on the floor.

I haven't read all the comments yet, but I wanted to add my vote for duplicating this bag. And get a handbag hanger to carry in it, so you don't have to put it on the floor if there isn't a perch handy. I used to carry one around all the time (until it broke), and I used it to hang my bag off the edge of the table at cafes. Now I just put the bag on the seat of my chair, between my back and the chair back, if need be (i.e., if I can't hang it over the back of the chair or set it on a chair next to me).

P.S. just read the comments, and the hooks I linked to are what Rachylou is talking about. They are kind of a genius invention. And mind didn't break with the bag on it; it just broke apart over time. Mine was by Brighton.

So the consensus is definitely get the bag. I have to agree with the wisdom of the Forum.

This post inspired me to consider a white (not cream) bag for this Spring.

Get the white bag. You will need to be aware of what you put in it, where you set it, and to some extent what you wear (dye transfer from some clothing) and have some cleaning tips up your sleeve. You already know the size and style works well for you and is far more fab than a tote.

Sure....why not! I love my white bag.

I have a white Coach bag that I've used for over 3 years. It gets very heavy use during the warmer months and comes out the rest of the year as needed. It still looks fantastic. I actually ran into someone in the Coach store at the Eaton Centre this summer. She came over and said I can't believe how good your bag looks. I have the same one and it's a mess. WELL, the key is taking care of it. I use leather cleaner and moisturizer on all of my bags....I baby all of my things.....but the white bag get cleaned more often. If you tend to take care of your things it will be just fine. If you're the kind of person who just tosses it around and doesn't give it much thought then it won't fair as well.

Suz, my brother is an architect, city planner and urban designer. He keeps those yummy black architects pens in his shirt pocket - and has ruined several shirts when they leak. He is finally learning to keep the pens in a case!

And I have this oatmeal darling on its way to me. I like an assortment of white bags in my capsule. GET THE WHITE BAG.

Ooh, Angie -- that is a lovely bag for sure!! I will take your advice and get a great lined pencil case. Very smart idea. And Marilyn, you are right -- good care will help preserve the bag.

*happy dance*

I have many white bags, Suz. They are all in great condition, and I wear them all the time. I am SURE you'll do well with a white bag.

Well, as someone who both duplicates happily, and seems to be constantly on the search for the "perfect" bag, I say go for it! As long as the white is one you'll like... it does look fairly creamy to me, which may or may not be right for you. I don't think you'll have an issue with keeping it looking nice... spray it, and keep in top of any marks. Danier told me that a white eraser is a good way to get marks off my white leather jacket.

Suz, here's another way to protect your bag. I keep lipstick, emory board, and other doodads in a small zipper bag. It also makes it easier when I want to switch bags.

Angie, my husband has ruined shirts with pens, too! But, knock on wood, I've never had a pen leak in a bag.

I have many Minkoff bags, including duplicates and I love them all. If a bag works, it works, very much like shoes actually. Do you duplicate your favourite shoes? If so, you certainly should with this bag!

I do however shy away from white bags. The lightest colors I have are a pearl grey satchel and a blush backpack. That said, if a white bag will bring you joy in summer, why not go for it. I think hobos are seldom put down. Also, does this hobo come with a crossbody strap? I have a nubuck Moto Hobo with a crossbody strap and it never gets put on the floor.
