Mining the ylf mind trust - modern slim trousers

Hi all -

Haven't been able to be around much these days. I do miss you! Today the stomach flu has demanded I slow down. The ONLY silver lining is having some time to get on ylf.

I have been thinking I'd like to add some slim trousers to my work capsule. I want different silhouettes. I'm tired of boot cuts. Does anyone have any thoughts on good places to find these? Or even leads on specific pants? I really appreciate your input.

You'll have to report back if you do. If I could find my perfect pant, it'd be a false plain or, at least, not black. But it seems to be so hard to find slim pants, period. This is what leads me to believe I'm not looking in the right places.

Thanks, Mary. I think those may be a little too fashion forward for me. I'd wear them outside of work, but not sure I would feel comfortable for more formal work settings. I'd like to find a workhorse that can work in many settings - dressy to dressed down.

They do have them for full price in solid colors: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/vi.....ltback=228. Although I do realize ankle pants are iffy in a lot of work settings. I'm short so for me they're full length!

I really like the Gap True Straight Premium Pants, a recent purchase. They are washable and comfortable and not as form fitting as skinnies. I wish that they came in more colors.

I tried the AT pants today. The come in charcoal and black. Nice hefty fabric and very comfy but did not work for my flat bottom so they are a no go for me.
